Congratulations! I also have heard that the date of your LMP is more accurate than what an ultrasound shows.
The ultrasound I had 1 week before my dd was born indicated that she was 7 lbs. 15 oz. I was worried that she would be more than 9 lbs, but her birth weight was actually 8 lbs. 1 oz. I was told later that they can sometimes be off by a lb. larger or smaller.

I don't have an answer for you, but wanted to give you a :grouphug:. Hopefully you will get some advice from the many knowledgable moms here.

Dh wanted 2, and I wanted 4. We decided to stop at 3, but were given a special surprise when we found out we were going to have our little girl, (who I hope will be born in the next couple of days!). We both are very excited, and happy with this change of plans. She will definitely be our last. I will be 45 in July, and this has been a very challenging pregnancy for me.

My oldest loves to read aloud. I have asked him to help out with that on a few occasions. Could you ask one of your older dc to help with that? Otherwise, I would just do very light school, or take off for a few days.

Thanks girls. There is a lot to think about and plan. We looked at the laws again yesterday, and are trying to figure out what we need to do. WI is considerately easier, so we are a little overwhelmed right now.

DH just accepted a job in the Twin Cities area. We will welcome any advice about neighborhoods, shopping, and homeschooling. We are hoping to move up there around the 3rd week of May. Our baby girl should be a few weeks old by that time. Feel free to pm me if you would like.

Congratulations! As you can see from my signature, we are expecting a new baby as well. Our boys were thrilled when we first told them, and even more so when we found out that she will be a girl. We thought our family was complete as well. I am 44. For the most part this pregnancy is going pretty well, aside from a few aches and pains I didn't have with my other pregnancies. My OBGYN office is watching me a little closer, but that is pretty normal for AMA (advanced maternal age) ( expectant moms over 35).:)

:grouphug:I understand how you feel. March 23, 2000 would have been the due date for my first baby. We refer to "him" as "Freddy".

Congratulations! I also understand the hesitancy to tell people. My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. We told almost everybody as soon as we found out I was pregnant. Everyone was very supportive.
We had a little scare in the beginning of this pregnancy, and we only told immediate family because we wanted their support and prayers. Everything seems to be fine now.

Yes! Go Pack Go! We watched the game at the home of Bears fans. It was a blast.

Thanks for your replies. Dh isn't sure exactly, but he thinks it might be in the Minneapolis area.

Minnesota Moms- what requirements do you have to home school? I just looked up the Minnesota laws on the HSLDA site. I don't have a college degree, and don't fulfill any of their requirements. Dh has a B.A., but I am the one who does school with our dc. Middle ds has sensory issues, and is a little behind in some subjects, and about grade level on others.

Oldest ds had one nostril done about 2 1/2 years ago. It didn't take very long, and I don't remember it being painful. He is very glad that we did it, and is begging to have the other one done.

I also have a mentor. She home schooled her 4 dc since her oldest was in first grade. 2 of her ds's are lawyers, 1 ds is about to graduate from college, and her dd is homeschooling her own children. I have been friends with her for almost 17 years. She is like a second mother to me. She has helped me in so many ways. I often refer to her as an example when people ask me if I will continue to home school my dc.

He often calls me Cakey, Cakey-Sue, Babycakes, Cakeypie, or Honeybunny. (I can't stand that last one.) He rarely calls me by my real name. I usually call him honey or dear, and his full name when I am not happy with him.

:grouphug: I hope your day gets better.

I am due April 23. We are also in shock, but very excited. We thought we were done too.

My brother and I are both left-handed. I was born first, and he was born third. My grandfather was a lefty, and my fil was too. None of our dc are leftys, but /I am hoping that we might have left-handed grandchildren someday.

That is a really neat birthday gift. You did a great job. I think she should really like it.

My oldest also really likes to diagram sentences. He would actually be disappointed when a grammar lesson didn't include diagramming. This coming from a boy who drags his feet on anything resembling math.
Prayers for Sue (my sister)..
