Ours hit the checking account today right on schedule. It was exactly what we were expecting. It will either get transferred to our ING account or be a healthy extra principal payment on our mortgage.

Fridge and freezer.

does this affect free-filers? I am not sure, but I do hope your dh get some answers!
As I understand it, it only affects those who paid for their filing out of their refund. Those transactions were handled by a third-party bank. If you paid by credit card, through your bank account, or free filed, you're not affected.
We used Turbo Tax to file and received our rebate via direct deposit today.

Around the World in 80 Days read by Jim Dale is a winner.
I think Airborne by Kenneth Oppel (can't remember who is reading it) would also appeal to these ages.

Rick Astley.
Wow. I feel old.

This was such a great idea, Crissy!
I voted. But, I'm afraid I'm so trained to not talk about what I mark on my ballot that I can't tell you who I voted for.
(I can tell you that I'm fairly certain she still loves Bud.)

You could try dampening the area with warm water then applying a thick layer of Borax. Let it dry completely then vacuum.
This worked well for us on carpet and mattresses when we had a bedwetter.
Good luck!

Oh! That's just the worst--hitting a deer, husband out of town, dealing with insurance, etc.
I'll pray for you. We've hit many deer. I hate the disruption it causes. And I hate the SOUND of the animal hitting the car.
Hang in there.

Congratulations! It's a great feeling, isn't it?
I'm hoping to finish our painting projects this summer...then it will be time to touch up everything I've already painted.

I was just going to remind you to sort the recycling but I see that you're on top of the situation.
:)
Have fun.

I used R&S2 with my second son. He had finished FLL but was just starting 2nd grade. It was the perfect fit as a follow up to FLL for his age and abilities.
My first son went into R&S3 following FLL but he was a year older. (They did FLL together.) I should add that this was the first FLL book for 1st and 2nd grade. I'm not familiar with the subsequent titles and what they cover because we went straight to R&S.

If you struggle with unhealthy snacking (I do), one thing that helps me is to make a rule that if I eat it, I have to let my boys eat it. Sounds silly but I tend to care more about what they eat than what I eat. (Bad). It works for me.
Congratulations on your Couch-5K start!

When my oldest son went thru Aesop, we were in much the same boat as you. I bought the workbooks because they gave *me* direction, helped *me* come up to speed much more quickly. But I didn't remotely use the workbooks line item by line item for him. We skipped the grammar stuff that was clearly too easy for him. We honed in on the analysis and writing project. Some times we did some quick oral grammar work, just to make sure that his 'theory' was up to a practical application level. Here's an additional way I used the workbooks ... when son was in Level A, I looked to the kind of exercises used in Level B and incorporated some of those into our A work.
Yup. What she said. :)

Not planting anything yet. I'm digging up daylilies and transplanting, splitting nepeta and salvia and feeding my peonies and hydrangeas.
And crying over my weeds.

I'd make a cobbler a day until it was gone. :)
Or a pie.
Or milkshakes. (Blender again. Sorry)
Or a smoothie, but it sounds like you need a little time before you go that route again.
Send it to me???
Out of ideas...

We use them about 50% of the time. They are nice for extra practice but I also find that just backing up a few pages in the textbook and having them do a lesson they did last week (again) works just as well for us.
I wouldn't say they are as valuable to the program as the Challenging Word Problems are to Singapore Math. Do you know what I mean?
I think they're completely optional, nice to have, but optional.

Yes. Vacuum first--maybe borrow some vacuums so you can have more than one working on this at a time?
And then a wipe down. Are you doing any caulking before the painter comes or is he taking care of that? (Caulk needs some time to dry before it's painted.)

You can do Latin Prep 1 without the workbook. It simply provides additional exercises for each chapter of the textbook. I would get the textbook and the textbook answer book. Workbook is optional. I have it and we use it about 50% of the time.

I've tried Tom's of Maine but wasn't thrilled.
I can find mens but not ladies  - and I hate most of the fragrances in the men's products. :001_huh:
We use the Speedstick brand--it doesn't smell great at the store but once it's on the body it seems to mellow.

It's also possible that they are using a computer that they don't have immediate access to and that's why they want you to call. Hard to know.
That's probably the assumption I would make. I'd still follow the same protocol--preference to the first person who responded but give them time to respond to your reply email--no more than a day.
-
They don't strike me as weird (too much). It just looks like the messages are written by someone who doesn't pay attention to their writing.
I don't really see the need to call them back if they've emailed you. If the bed is still available I would just email the first person who inquired and let them know your terms and that there are other people interested.
Maybe each Craigslist community is a little different but I've never had to finalize any transaction by telephone--it's always been through email.
Good luck getting rid of your futon--don't you love Craigslist? :)

You might look for a copy of All Through the Ages by Christine Miller, (Nothing New Press).
You'll find fiction and non-fiction resources listed by time period, region and reading level.

You and my almost 10 year old! He eats it every morning on a bagel. (Bad mommy.)

We use a stone sprinkled with cornmeal and a very hot oven--450.
If you're using a metal pan with holes, I would try it again without the foil.
Or get a bigger stone. :)
My son just saw Susan Wise Bauer's name on the board...
