  1. I think I would push the fish oil, Vit. D and and the B-complex. Have you tried melatonin for the insomnia? Sometimes even the tiniest amount can help reset the sleep cycle. I would aim for her to get in bed before 10:30 p.m., or even by 10 p.m. IIRC, some studies have shown that there's a natural sleep window at that point. It's definitely so for me. If I miss it, I'm up for HOURS.

Along with this, I would give her acidophillus.

  2. The power steering pump had to be replaced twice. They wanted me to pay($600) for it the second time after only having the car for 2 years. It would make a horrible grinding noise when I turned when the weather was cold. I called Honda directly and they paid for it, since I told them I did a google search and this was a problem known to them.

I also had to have the brakes replaced early since they were warped. I have some kind of loud pitchy noise when I step on the gas when the weather is warm. I have the navigation system that has never worked right.

  3. I have all the symptoms of thyroid problems but the tests come back fine. I have killed myself with exercise and diet with no change too! But I just started Master Your Metabolism by Jillian Michaels and finally lost two pounds in less than a week and I haven't been exercising! Go figure. In her book she says if you follow her plan you will lose weight because the diet gets your metabolism going.

You might look into it. I have only been on it for less than a week (and I have cheated some too!) but hopefully the results will conitnue. Last year I did the South Beach diet for two months. I followed their diet plan and exercised a lot and only lost 4 pounds! Of course my dh did the same thing and dropped 25!

I haven't been too hungry on this plan but felt a little weak yesterday. My dh says he thinks it is just my body getting use to the diet.

  4. Okay, I'm intrigued. I have heard ladies on this board talk of mills and grinding their own flour. What do you buy to do that? I'm used to store bought bags of prepared flour. What's the step before that? I'm so clueless!

And I'll check my grocery stores for King Arthur's. I am really eager to try baking my own bread. I posted earlier about it but still felt it was overwhelming. My dd's love the idea and want to help me. So maybe it won't be so bad. :)

My oldest dd did make chocolate bread once. It was YUMMY. Totally made from scratch. So at least she has a little experience.

http://www.breadbeckers.com/classes.htm I went to one of these classes years ago and really learned a lot.

  5.

I just got this book from the library yesterday. What she says makes sense and I am hoping it works for me. No matter how much I exercise and watch what I eat I can't lose anything. :glare:

  6. We Have Verizon too and have had the same problem a couple of times. WE just called Verizon and they would let us change our plan to cover the minutes for that month and we could call back and have our plan set back to where it was before. Just this last month my son went 700 minutes over our plan(we have 1400 minutes a month) and they moved our plan to the 2100 for the month so we ended up paying twenty dollars more to change the plan instead of the 300 dollar in overages. At first they said they don't really do this anymore, but somehow my dh got them to do it.

  7. So here I am pregnant with my sixth child and having a very rough pregnancy. I have had 5 other pregnancies that went relatively smooth. This one is giving me a hard time. I can hardly pull myself off of the couch. Has anyone else had easy/normal pregnancies and then have one that was super hard?? I need to know that I am not alone. I feel like such a lazy and horrible wife and mother. Please respond if you have had a similar experience. I am having a very hard time with this.

    Thanks, Erin

I was like this with my fourth child. The doctor said my iron was in the normal range but just a little on the low side. I asked if I could take an iron supplement to see if it would help and they said that was fine. After about 3 days on iron I felt like a whole new person. I picked up hemaplex(sp?) from the vitamin shop down the road and didn't suffer any ill side effects that can come with iron supplementation.
