Have you looked at "God's Great Covenant"?
It looks good to me. I haven't used it but I'm considering it for the fall.

Ok. Thanks for the tip about the extra cards. I have girls that are 1 year apart so I probably will need 2 sets.

Great! Thanks for the help!

I'm going to buy All About Spelling next year for my first grader. It is a little expensive so I was wondering what, if anything, can be reused for subsequent children?
Thanks so much for the help!

Can you use MOH with the SOTW Activity Guide or the History Revealed Activity Guide for early elementary?
Just curious.
thanks so much

Are there any history textbooks from the reformed tradition? I'm not really interested in TOG or anything like that. I think it will be too much work for me to pull everything together. I have 4 almost 5 kids and the oldest will only be 6 when the baby comes so I'm a little pressed on time. I'm really looking for more of an open and go curriculum with worksheets for the kids to do. This would be for K and 1st grade!
Thanks so much for your help!

What makes up 1st grade LA? This is for next year.
Do I continue with phonics if my daughter can read? If so, what's a good program?
Do I need to do:
Phonics
Grammar
Writing
Spelling
Reading
Reading Comprehension
Also, what are some good reading programs? I don't really know what I should be challenging her with? Thanks so much. As you can see, this is my first year to HS!

I THINK I'm down to deciding between these 2 math programs for my daughter (1st grade). Can someone please help me decide which to use!!!
Thanks!

What math programs for K and 1st grade have good teacher manuals (besides Saxon) I need some hand holding!

Is there a history program out there like Apologia for 1st grade?
By that I mean, biblically based, 1 book to read (not pulling from other sources) that has an activity/notebook guide to go with it?
Thanks for the help!

I don't know either. I was also looking at Horizons for K and then maybe started CLE in 1st? I just don't know.

The title says it all. Can a K do CLE Math 100? I know I want to use that progarm, just didn't know if I needed to do something else first during K.
Just looking at all my options for next year.

Which is better? I want a good, solid, advanced program but I don't think I like all of the pronunciation markings in CLE. I'm just looking at the samples online but I'm hoping someone with experience in both can help me out.
Thanks so much!

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm looking at this for my daughter for next year and didn't know if I had to do the reading or if I could just do the LA.
Hopefully someone can help!

I thought that was strange too so I didn't make my daughter sound those words out. I just told her this word is one you just have to remember.

What do you think? I want something that is challenging but just don't know which is the best to go with. I'd like to find something I can stick with for a few years so which do you all think is best?

I'm looking at Singapore Math for next year. My daughter would be using 1A and 1B.
What do I need to buy. I see on the site that they have a Textbook, Workbook and Teacher's Guide for each level (1A and 1B). Do I need all of that?
Thanks so much!

Do I have to do Spelling in Kindergarten? My 4 year old is really just beginning to read and write and I just didn't know if it was necessary at this point to add spelling. Can I wait until next year??
Thanks

Any cookbook from Southern Living! Love them all!

How often do you talk on the phone with your closest friend. I'm just trying to see what's normal. I talk with mine about 5 times a week. The calls are normally short though ~ 5 min. We mostly just call to check in, etc.

Anyone else?
thanks

Any suggestions on which language to do in K?
I've had 6 years of French (don't remember much) and I prefer this language but I feel like Spanish is a more practical language now.
Any thoughts??
