[Middle school science suggestions]

I'm looking for middle school science curriculum. I came across Prentice Hall Science Explorer series: Life Science , Earth Science , Physical Science books. Also, I was looking into Glencoe science series: Life Science, Earth Science & Physical Science. In Glencoe publications, there's also Level Red, Green and Blue books. I did not understand between the 2 series in Glencoe.

 

Of these, I am unable to decide which to take and how to proceed. Any one tried any of these books? Along with the student texts, what are the supplement books to buy?

 

Any other suggestions? Please advice.
