    Oh my! Horse shopping just got real. First time buying, first horse we even looked at, and my instructor is wanting to set up a two week trial. Eek! It's happening faster than I expected.

      Lisabees - another thing, high schools or 4-H have horse judging teams. She'd love that and even though they are western focused, a lot carries over for english.

    Oh my! Horse shopping just got real. First time buying, first horse we even looked at, and my instructor is wanting to set up a two week trial. Eek! It's happening faster than I expected.

      Lisabees - start asking about how she can help out around the barn. She may be able to do enough work to earn an extra lesson here or there and learn a lot of care skills.

      I'm riding dressage and dd I'm pointing toward hunters. The horse buying just kind of fell on us. We are going to be our lesson horse's semi-retirement home since our instructor is downsizing. We'll have to own a horse to continue lessons with her. My goal was to own a horse in a year and now we are taking on two. I'm super excited, we bring the mare home for a 2 week trial on Thursday.

      Paula - me either. I'm a beginner rider too. We are hoping the mare will be a perfect mix between the QH my daughter and I ride (whom we are also taking home at the end of summer) and the warmblood mare I've been riding since the beginning of summer.

    Crazy cats. They had perfectly good kibble in their bowl. But no, they are going to And once I poured the kibble from the bowl into another bowl......well, hallalujah they are fed and they start eating.

      This bowl was full to the top. The problem might have been that I moved it from another room instead of pouring it and giving them the audial cue it was meal time.

    I've only been saying "no" for 2 months to DH's suggestions/planning for yet another Disney trip. So, why does he make me have to get rude about it before he'll respect my no?

      Yes....well, I have caught the, "I want to get into a groove with school" bug and don't want to take over a week off and ruin it. Besides, we are planning a trip in June with the extended family.....all 23 of us.

    Well, it finally happened with baby #2. Woke up and came out to find DH asleep on the couch and baby with the markers contentedly drawing on the walls and couch.

      Yep. Someone got to paint the walls this afternoon. I'm hoping resolve will get it out of the couch. If not, at least it was the same section that already had melted crayon on it.
