My nephew was born at 26 weeks (I think). From what I remember, he had the steroid injections for his lungs about a week before he was born. Things were very scary at first. The good news is that he is a happy, healthy 3 year old boy now - with no lasting issues.

Never done it, but I've always wanted to. I think it's awesome that you're thinking about it, but please don't go alone! Gah. Too easy to get lost, or hurt, or assaulted...
Take your hubby, or a friend, and take pictures!! (So I can live vicariously through you, cuz I know I'm never going to get around to it. :tongue_smilie:)

Latin-Centered Curriculum by Andrew (it's so late that I can't remember his last name).
Yes, this is by far my favorite. By Andrew Campbell (our very own "Plaid Dad").

Oh no! Poor girl.
Did you post on Soph's Ask the Vet social group? I know she tries to check that daily.
Hope you can get someone out to see Shiloh soon.

I agree.
But we fight more than we get along and no child needs to be around that.
oh sweetie... I'm so sorry. :grouphug:

Off the top of my head, how about Buck Norris? :D I like naming animals after Hollywood men. We have a ragged blonde rooster called Nick Molte.

Why would a person feel like someone who is obese (a woman around 250-300 pounds) is less intelligent than a normal weight person?
I dunno. Perhaps they are wrongly assuming that making bad choices (i.e. poor eating habits, lack of self control, what have you) somehow equates to lack of intelligence.
Would that be a justified feeling?Nope. There are so many factors that can lead to obesity... but lack of intelligence certainly is not one of them.

This thread has been haunting me all day. I can't find a tactful way to say this, although I dearly wish I could. But it won't leave me alone either, so here goes:
Before you take your precious baby away from his (?) father, you should consider how you'll feel when you have to explain your decision to your son when he's five or ten or fifteen. Maybe there are huge issues in your relationship with his father. Maybe leaving is absolutely the best thing to do. I don't know. I only know what you've posted here. And based on that, it seems you are considering separating a father and son because you don't like living where the father found work.
If I were the child in that scenario, I would find that hard to forgive.
I agree.
I'm sure there's more to your story that we don't know, and I'm so sorry that you're hurting, Karen. :grouphug:
But please think long and hard before making any drastic decisions. A father is of immeasurable importance in a child's life.

I've been thinking about Rhonda every day, and I'm so glad to hear her surgery went well.

It's so good to hear from you, Jessica! I was thinking about you just the other day, wondering how life is going for you. So glad to hear that all is well. Good luck with your new job! :grouphug:
Embrace your freedom, count your blessings and appreciate where you are right now.
Oh, I do. Indeed I do. :001_smile:

About a year ago, I made the circuit of kindergartens in my town. At each stop, after the pitch by the principal and the obligatory exhibit of art projects only a mother (the student’s own) could love, I asked the same question: “What is your policy on homework?â€
And always, whether from the apple-cheeked teacher in the public school or the earnest administrator of the “child centered†private one, I was met with an eager nod. Oh, yes, each would explain: kindergartners are assigned homework every day.
Bzzzzzzt. Wrong answer.
ayup.
Great article! Thanks for sharing. :001_smile:

I think you're a prudent freak. :D Or a freakish prude. :001_huh:
Really, I don't blame you - I wouldn't want my whole family coming down with the flu. Luckily, there aren't any cases in my area. At least not any that I know of...
How old are you?
