  1. Thanks for the ideas! I love CM. I managed to get the McGuffey readers on my Kindle free
  2. We are currently working through 1B, I am trying to choose a math program. I like Singapore, and think we want to go with a spiral program. How easy is it to teach the Asian method particularly in later grades. I don't want to commit then find it to hard to teach later. I am okay in math but was taught in a traditional way.
  3. Wow thanks!! This is exactly what my 8 year old struggles with so will try this with him
  4. I have OPGtR though have never done it with him, I think I might look through it. And I'll try to get him to split the word into syllables , I'll keep trying
  5. We started the Reading Reflex with my son who then went to school for a year and a half. Little phonics tuition was given focussing mainly on sight words. My son now 8, struggles when he comes to a long word, he doesn't know how to chunk it and decode it, he just guesses. What program/tuition can I give him to help with decoding long words/ to improve his reading?
  6. My son is in Grade 2. What science can I do with him? I want it to be interesting and varied with some fun experiments. I have looked at Singapore Science, is this any good? I am following Charlotte Mason.
