If you have a counter-top Brita filter (not attached to your tap, but a pitcher) and you change your carbon cartridge regularly, can you please answer the poll? Curious because mine is acting differently than my mom's across the country. TIA!

More importantly, I am looking for the steps--every single, tiny step--in solving this problem. I want to see how a "math brain" versus a "non-math brain" thinks, or if there is even a difference. Tell me if you stared off into space, if you saw the numbers written down. Where did your eyes go? What did you see in your mind, if anything? What did you do with the numbers to solve the problem?
So, please don't bias yourself by reading others' answers before attempting to solve on your own. It is a very easy problem, I promise! No pencil or paper, though. Just your own brain. Here goes: multiply forty-seven by six
Thanks. :001_smile:
When reading the first word in the problem, "multiply", I immediately saw a big red X. I then had to picture 47 numerically, then the words "by six" made me move the number 6 to the front, so it would look like 6 X 47. I then froze for a minute, stared into space, and reached for a calculator. I am not a mathletic.

Did I mention that Wolf fried the van? Which means no personal transportation, have to cab it everywhere. In the -bazillion degrees C here.
I wanna cry.
I gonna smacka you!
Call me. If I can you know I will. If I can't then you'd have taken a cab anyway. Might as well try! So... CALL... it's 780-CAL-LMEE!!! :D

We have to fluff ours nightly. They're so heavenly to squish into after a good fluffing. Yes, goose down is why we fluff.

I love Bethany.

What is the best men's razor out there? My step-dad asked for one for Christmas, a non-electric one, and I haven't a clue. TIA!

aaaawwwwwwww!!!!! So if she's active...... does that mean she has escaped an RSD flare-up so far?
I'm not sure. She seems like a typical mama post-partum but did say last night that she is thankful and grateful for the amount of pain she's in, she realizes it could be a lot worse. That is good!
Get that camera over there tomorrow!Yes ma'am! :D

Yup, she's home, but still adjusting to the new routine (esp. the whole bottle sterilization thang... just not as easy as BF) and catching up on sleep. I forgot my camera when I went over last night, but ohmygoodness what a sweet little baby! I wore him like a brooch! :D Nice, nice baby fix! :D

Avoiding the shower. I hate showering. I like being clean, but I wish it would happen on its own.

What do I cook pancakes in? My pajamas. :D

Ya, I don't know how to get the pictures. I saw Wolf's cell phone pic today (SWEEEET & very alert baby!), but I don't think they have cables to connect to the computer, if memory serves me. I won't meet the witto snugglebum until tomorrow or the next day, but I'll be sure to snap a pic or thirty :D

Congratulations, Dawn and family! I guess you can ignore that PM I sent Dawn, I was getting very worried! So relieved to hear all is well! Love your new boy's name!

"Produce Savers" I thought you were asking about how to raise/produce children who were financially savvy! ;)
I have the garlic one from Pampered Chef (or is it Tupperware?) and I like it. I find it does extend the life of the garlic. I can't imagine how they'd be better than a regular tupperware or glass container, but I think they're better than baggies. We use Ziploc and I find the last few years they've been leaving a plasticky taste.

Praying he will heed medical advice. :grouphug:

Born at 10:37am Mountain Time, weighing a whopping 7lbs with a full head of hair! Mama and baby are doing well and Daddy is giddy with glee! Diva, Tazzie & Princess are ecstatic! Pics to follow...
ETA: correction: Diva is "happy" and Princess is wondering if she'll still be mama's baby. Sweet girl... I told her mommy & daddy love her the same amount and she just looked at me with doubt. I'm sure once she meets her new baby brother (in an hour!) she'll warm up. Prayers for a speedy recovery and all that jazz are appreciated.

:grouphug: Rest up, mama. You'll be better soon! :grouphug:

According to Imp's kids, this is when Joshua will be born:
Diva: midnightish. (Her mom will not be impressed.)
Tazzie: any time between now and never. (Good attitude!)
Princess: later, maybe at snack time. 3:00

Congratulations Pencil Pusher Clan! He's so beautiful! :grouphug:

I'm sure sweet baby Joshua and our friend Imp are bonding and cuddling, totally and wildly loving on each other.:001_wub:
Nope. Not yet. They broke her water at 6:30am Mountain Time, but no babe yet... should be any time though! :D Every time the phone rings I get excited! :D

Always try and remember that there is someone out there who needs your friendship as much as you need theirs.
:iagree: And this is a fact of life: people will always let us down. They're people. People mess up all the time. So model to your kids how to deal with this: don't stay down, but pick yourself up and try again! :grouphug:

Still nothing... I'm on my way over to sleep at her house, so I'll either be updating under her hijacked name (mwahaha) or I won't be able to update because she locked her computer! We shall see...

Happy Baby Day!!!
SpecialMama, pls put the birth in a different thread, if you don't mind. :D
Sending prayers and happy thoughts.
Yup, I will post in a new thread when he's here... for now, here is the update: nada. She's not progressing much with the induction so far. The nurse told her "good luck tonight" so it'll be a while.

:grouphug: Thank you for sharing. What a lovely tribute to a wonderful babe who will know only joy. I'm so sorry for your loss. :grouphug:

WWYD...marker bleeding through paint.

Too bad! Unfortunately, a separate primer is your answer. If you didn't want to prime, then I'd sand the spot with marker down, enough to remove the marker then put a few coats of your paint/primer on. It should blend nicely with the rest of the piece.
