  1. Im looking for opinions on using BJU grammar/reading Vs Abeka Grammar and reading at the 3rd gr level(my son is 10 but needs this level) I have some bju....and though I like it, it is super teacher intensive. without comparing it to other options...(wtm style stuff) what do you prefer and why?
  2. we dont have lizards but we do have snakes. snakes are very easy to care for, require feeding only once a week(can feed frozen or live ) Im not much into lizards but I enjoy my pet snake and the kids are learning more about cold blooded animals. we've only had them for a few weeks. btw... we have Ball pythons. Very NON aggressive snake...easily handled...dont move as fast as some of the small ones and it gets only up to 5-6feet long...not 20!!!! :bigear:
  3. Why Advil...and not asprin or aleve or tylenol...Just wondering what is the difference between all these. I do take aleve when I have headaches, backaches and M. cramps... Its sorta my go to med. I would be concerned with taking something every day...so what is safe, not safe...etc.:) thanks
  4. I will have to check on the vit D thing. since I started working nights..Im getting way less sunshine. Ive taken to sitting in the sun...when I can. I dont believe it to be MS...actually others I work with have experienced the same symptoms in their hands which only started when they began working there too. Ive had weak wrists and ankles in the past... but they are fine. Im building a lot of upper body muscles currently...especially arms. Just seems odd that my hands are not getting used to the work???they just always feel like they are swelled. Heat does seem to help...which is why I was thinking arthritis...as it runs in our family. I am in my waiting period for health insurance..and dare not go in before it begins...3 months to wait still. As to the chiropractor suggestion....I'd love too...again waiting for insurance to kick in. so how do you all heat your hands??? I mean....lol....when do you have time? anything I can Wear on them when I sleep? Donna
  5. HI, My hands are always feeling numb, stiff these days. I work with them...the main thing I do is tear down boxes(pulling glued boxes apart) I dont have the option of NOT doing this at work. Im looking for something to releive them. they are stiffest after I wake up or rested. they hurt in the cold. Yeah, I think it is arthritis... I also dont have much strength in them at all anymore. I have tried emu oil(blue goo) Soaking in hot water...all only temp relief. Any ideas? Donna
  6. I used to work from home with this company..its really good money once you get started. You answer phone calls for either pizza hut or infomercials. http://www.liveops.com there will be a fee for a background check...it can take some time for them to get back to you..but when they do, its good. I made 10-14.00 per hour. You must have a land line phone and high speed internet access and a quiet workspace(no kid noises ) but you can work any hours..24 per day and work when kids are asleep. its independent contract work. Another company is called West. I didn't like their system as much..but they are easier to get hired with. both you have to do a voice test where you read a paragraph or 2. both require you to read a script from a screen..so good reading aloud skills are req.(benefit of our homeschooling. LOL) http://www.west.com West is an employee situation..you still get to choose your favorite hours. If you want to do surveys... http://www.publicopinionresearch.com they pay per completed survey... its very part time evenings mostly hope this helps...if the links dont work, let me know. Donna
