If you’re looking to reduce inflammation, dairy is out completely. The carb manager app is fantastic. Definitely make yourself use it - I found it really helpful to tweak my final meal of the day.

I was unaware of this-thank you!  I will look into it.  Dairy and I don't often agree, but neither do coconut and I.  I have been engaged in a microbiome cleanse for the last couple of months and my digestive system is much healthier so maybe it will tolerate coconut a bit better.  I have been doing better with MCT oil after a few weeks of scary consequences!

  2. Thank you Debbi!

I will definitely check out all the recommended information listed.

So far, I am enjoying the food and not missing the carbs, but I am feeling the headachy-possible keto flu-at the moment.

Do you possibly have a liquid stevia recommendation for adding to hot tea?

    Thanks!

  3. Hubby and I are embarking on a Keto diet.  My goal is to reduce inflammation in my body.  His goal is to reduce pudge around his middle.  We both would like to see an increase in energy.  This is day 5 and today I have decided to use the Carb Manager Premium App.  So far, so good.  Fat is definitely filling and I am having to figure out how much dairy I can tolerate.  Would love to hear others experiences with Keto.

    Thanks🙏

  4. I am considering hiring someone to deep clean my home.  I'm not entirely sure what that entails and what is appropriate to ask someone to do-even if Im paying them. Here is my list, please feel free to add or tell me if it is not appropriate. Thanks!

    Clean all appliances-inside and outside

    Clean all cabinets-inside and outside

Clean baseboards, floors-scrub, not just mop, walls

Dust and clean behind everything and above everything including ceiling fans, furniture-under furniture, hard to reach book shelves, and interior trim too high for me to reach.

    Clean doors, windows, and porches

Clean bathrooms more thoroughly than I already do.

    Anything else?

    Too much?

Also, having never done this before, what is the general fee per hour for this type of service?

I am replacing my metal bakeware,  I am moving away from heavy metal reactivity.  Is glass recommended or ceramic? Brand recommendation?

    Thanks!

I decided to purchase the Caraway Cookware set Carawayhome.com and a pizza stone and bar stone pan from Pamperedchef.com.

These items should take care of most of my basic cooking and baking needs.

Thank you for all your wisdom in my research.

An adjunct question along the lines of the vitamin one, do any of you use powdered green supplements?

OP, I would think that with Crohn’s and the caution over too much fiber, a little supplementing might be good for you. But I don’t have a lot of experience with that, I’ve just been given small sample packets here and there and usually forget to even try them. I just know they're out there.

I actually do add powdered greens to my smoothies-organic chlorella powder, organic wheat grass powder, organic spirulina, organic barley grass powder, and "superfood" powders.  I also take high quality, bioavailable, food based supplements.

  8. I confess to a green smoothie several times a week that includes about 2 cups of frozen organic spinach; a salad several times a week that includes 5 ounces of organic mixed greens; and about 2 cups of steamed organic broccoli several times a week.

I work until 7pm several evenings a week and have no appetite for vegetables when I get home, no longer have dc at home to cook for, and have a small appetite.

I also have a history of Crohn's disease making the consumption of too much fibrous foods at the same time difficult to digest.

I need to increase my vegetable intake and I primarily want to increase the live raw enzymes from uncooked organic vegetables.

Any thoughts on how I might easily do so?

    Thanks!
