  1. One of my twin boys is having a REALLY hard time learning numbers 10-19 from sight. He can count items to figure out the number but he can't just look at the number and know what it is. Is this normal for his age? He will be 5 in April. What can I do to help him get it? Thanks for any help!
  2. Extra curricular activities such as musical instruments, not to mention dental visits and haircuts. And you can't buy just one bike, they each need one of those too!
  3. How did you introduce sight words to your children? My boys are 4 1/2 and one is readying BOB books so feel they are ready! Thanks for the help!
  4. BFIAR is what we did in part and then ABC Fun & 123
  5. Seriously? I am so sick and tired of the media and their opinions. Remember the days when they just reported the news and didn't give their opinions on it? I miss those days!
  6. I have a really good memory except when I was preggo! I was a total scatter brain and I haven't been since giving birth nor before. I suppose it was a panel of men who conducted this study 'cuz I ain't buying what they are selling! :)

  8. My boys know the letter sounds as they actually learned them from the Letter Factory video. Just trying to find a method for the whole word thing to click with them! Lots of great advice so far, keep it coming please!!!!! And even if the advice is to try something else or back off that is ok too. It's easy to want to push them to do everything now before they are ready!
  9. I have 4-yr old boys and I can't wrap my head around a great way to teach them the days of the week and the months of the year. Suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  10. What do you recommend? I have 4-yr old twin boys and I have been using Learning to Read in 100 Easy lessons but the lessons seem to be a little too advanced for them. Looking for something that is a little more basic. I have been thinking of using Spell to Write and Read or the Bob Books. Thanks! Jami
