Do you remember the thread about the woman who was going on a camping trip with a bunch of friends and their kids and one woman wore skirts without underwear? And the poster wanted to know what to say or even IF she should say anything about how when the woman sat down you could see her hoo-hah?
Well, MY suggestion was the poster write a limerick to inform her friend of the hoo-hah view (hah). And I provided just such a limerick!
And the thread went poof!
Just trust me...that limerick was hilarious!

This is why I'm such a hard ass about the kids having their rooms neat and clean before going to bed. Every time they complain about picking their stuff up, I ask them, "How are we going to wash the puke off this stack of Very Important Papers later? Or these library books? Or this Lego creation? Or this pile of random bits of salvaged trash you plan to spin into gold?"

I'm finally convinced that they literally don't see these things. Including my husband, who has suggested that my standards are too high. If I lowered them any further, our home would be a biohazard!
Re: the bolded above. Dh and I just had a conversation that went like this:
Me: Obviously, my standards are too high for...(slight pause to find the right words)
Dh: The world.

The funny wasn't funny. I wasn't thinking. It wasn't even a bad joke... it just wasn't, I dunno. Brain not awake at the time or something.
Haha! I think by tomorrow I will have moved on to some other obsession! I probably won’t even remember that I was curious to know what the (non) funny was!
I’ve had so many of those “brain not awake†episodes lately that I’m beginning to feel like it’s a new normal for me!
