This happened to me twice when my boys were really young. Strangers told me I was crazy to be having three so close together. :glare:

I wouldn't let him jump ahead and do the fun pages. Maybe buy a fun math workbook and let him do as much of that as he wants?
-
So cute! I might have to order one or two. :)

We love MM, just started Beast and are starting Miquon and Fred soon! So glad to see you're loving all of them!

I had two little boys in tears last night because a "tarantula" was running across their floor. When I finally got Dh to investigate (I was not going in there), he came out with a piece of black wool in his hand. The fan had been blowing it around.:tongue_smilie:

No. I would expect the majority of driving instructors to be men.

My son is only 5, so I read and explain everything to him, but I don't think it's out of the ordinary to have to do the same at 9.

We had our first day today as well! It's actually our first ever "official" day of homeschooling, as my older son attended public kindergarten last fall and we've just been doing reading and math since we moved in January.
I'm in the process of changing up my plans, because apparently I didn't have enough work planned for their liking. :glare:
It looks like you guys had a fun first day. :)

Tomorrow is our first day as well. Good luck! :)

My older son trained himself a few weeks after his 2nd birthday and trained his little brother a few months later, when he was about 16 months old.

I love this show. It does make me feel a bit under-protective when I realize that my 4 and 5 year olds are allowed to do more things than the 12 year olds on the show.

I recently went to a professional baseball game and ate Cracker Jacks. :)

I think I have every math curriculum that exists for K - 4th grade except Miquon. I don't understand it and didn't even know how to pronounce it until recently.
Teaching writing and literature intimidate me, as English isn't my first language.

We're starting next Monday. :)

We're starting on Monday and we're all very excited. :D

We're having a great 4th of July - our first in the US!
Happy 4th of July!

Thanks for posting this. :) We're not intentionally accelerating, but my planning is also more of a flow chart than a specific plan for each grade.
-
I am! We're actually starting next week, so I don't have too long to wait. :)
-
I was wondering the same thing. :bigear:

Happy Canada Day!
We're living in the US, so we had our own little celebration this morning. :)
-

My kids don't mind at all. But, I'm a softie and they usually end up getting some kind of treat or something we don't really need if they come along.
-
We use backless car booster seats that we bought for traveling, but the seats that were linked look perfect too. :)

Thanks again!
It sounds like it'll be best to start sometime this fall and go at my older son's pace, then redo it with my younger guy when he moves on to Fractions.
When do you start a formal writing program?
in K-8 Curriculum Board

I'm not comfortable at all with teaching writing, so we started WWE 1 this week. My boys are 4.5 and 5.5.
I have a very vague plan of doing WWE 1, WWE 2, then alternating between MCT, WWE and IEW until they're ready for WWS.
