Ferrets are so much fun! I always get the giggles watching them play and explore. They do have a musty odor and some will leave presents around the house if not fully trained. Some also chew cords and can get into the furniture and chew it from the inside out. When my friends had several they did need bathing every so often too. I'd love one but hubby says no way, our zoo is big enough.

I got a fairly inexpensive and durable slip cover for the couch from kohls. The best part is that it stays in place.

I can relate to where you are emotionally. My mom and I had a falling out after I started enforcing my familys boundaries. The way she reacted to being asked to call before she stopped over at our house you'd think she'd been stabbed.

I have 2 male neutered dogs. One is a large breed and the other a small breed.

They sometimes lift their legs and other times don't lift.

I wanted to add that since this post I dug out more of our games. Scattegories is our new favorite. My 8yo is a wiz at it.

Double check with the vet about dosage.

Give her a kong to chew on. This can keep her busy for a long time.

Put a blanket over the kennel.

When (if?) you ever have a break in the day take her out then sit down with her and snuggle for a while.

When my brother was in Iraq he really appreciated ALL the boxes filled with stuff. He enjoyed the letters and pictures from the kids. He also loved it when we sent him life cereal. My favorite letter from him was him thanking us for it.

I remember babysitting as a kid and with what I know now I'm shocked at how many times I was driven home by a drunk driver.

 

I will always pick up my kids when they become babysitters for that very reason.

Clue is our favorite right now. We also play boggle and uno pretty regularly.
