  1. Hello eccherry, We used Bridgeway for my ds last year, 6th grade. We used BJU's DVD program through them. Bridgeway is a great school and they delivered on everything that they promised! Is there anything in particular you were wondering about?
  2. Thank you all so very much for the responses! I really appreciate ya'll sharing your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions. It seems that I have more research to do...which I love! Faithr and 8FillTheHeart, you both have introduced me to some new sites that I didn't know about, and some great curriculum advise. That is exactly what I need to know! PachiSusan, great advice for making the curriculum my own and making it work for us!! I really need to remember that, since that is the beauty of homeschooling! We are nearing the end of our second year of homeschooling, but I still have so much to learn. So thanks again for the advise, I am going to soak it all up! God Bless
  3. Faithr - Thanks so much for sharing your opinions. I don't know much about Kolbe, but I am going to take a closer look at it. PachiSusan - Thanks for also sharing your opinion about Seton. Loved hearing that its not boring!! 4kiddies - I was glad to see a post that mentioned Seton! I have been trying to read everything I could find about them! My son is a typical boy...would prefer to be outside riding his bike or scooter rather than doing school! I am looking for a catholic program that is going to prepare him for college, but nothing to stuffy or formal. He has always enjoyed learning about the Catholic faith, so I am not too concerned about anything being too Catholic. Do ya'll think Seton or Kolbe could fit?
  4. I am thinking about using Seton for my DS12 next year, 8th grade. I would love to hear pros/cons about the program too!
  5. Thank you for your input and suggestion. One of the main reasons that I would like to stay with them is because they are so accommodating, and they offer a lot of options. If the curriculum is not working you can try something else. I guess ds could give the online program a try and if it doesn't workout we could go back to BJU. Another year of BJU would be fine with me! Thanks again for your response!
  6. I would first of all like to say that I am new to homeschooling. We are about to complete our first year!! It has been such a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to another great year. I would really like to get opinions on Bridgeway and Laurel Springs to help me make a decision for next year! We are currently enrolled with Bridgeway and are using BJU 6th grade curriculum with DVD's. We have received outstanding service and I would like to continue with them. My ds is asking for something different and would like to try an online program. Does anyone have any experience with Bridgeway's 7th grade program? I was also considering Laurel Springs. I have looked at their program and I fell in love with almost everything! They offer a great literature program, but very little grammar is offered in 7th grade. Can anyone offer their thoughts on this? I have been reading the message boards for quite awhile and I have finally gotten the nerve to post! I would really appreciate any feedback that anyone can give! Thanks! JessieL
