    I purchased the orange book for first grade. We are going to use it for fun along with our other math curriculum. What do I need to go with it?? The teacher notes or the lab notes? Neither? thank you!

    Thanks, I did not know about AAS. I'm guessing I should start at level one? FYI- my guys know their phonics and are reading.....if that makes a difference in the level to choose?

    Love the suggestions. With SOTW1-should I just read it to them? Has anyone used any of the A Beka books for first grade social studies? I think there are books about the community, the neighborhood , America etc. mcconnellboys....I'd love any book titles you can share. thanks!!

    Just curious....are you using just the games package from Rightstart? Are you going to be doing the level B as well or just Singapore. I'm asking simply out of curiousity because we are in the process of looking at Rightstart too. I think your plan looks great!

    Elizabeth....I was just lurking in on this post.....I really liked what you wrote. As a mom to a next yr first grader I needed that reminder. I'm actually stressing a little less:)

    I'm looking into Cursive first, Carson-Dellosa and Classically cursive. Does anyone use and like any of these? Also, what is the difference between traditional and modern cursive? TIA!

    I am still loving this list ! I have a nice list of curriculum to check out. It's helping me feel better about our plan. Christine-I was doing the same thing you mentioned(keeping ahead of things). We will be doing a mix of K and 1st as well.
