Thanks everybody! I have added lots of read alouds in and we take fields when we are able to. When we get the tax return I am going to add in art and a few other fun things I think my kids will enjoy.

I thought it was a very cute movie and my 6 and 7yr olds loved it! It might be a little violent because Nicole Kidmans character is a taxidermist and trying to stuff Paddington but I think the movie is perfectly fine for kids of all ages.

Did you have the ACA penalty? There was a glitch with early filers with the ACA penalty. The computer system put a hold on the refunds. IRS is finally going in manually and processing the returns. You should have a direct deposit date very soon. I filed the 23rd and no update on where's my refund yet but I called the IRS and told the hold was lifted today and I should have my refund by next week.

She misses the public school cut off by 3 weeks so she is technically a K'er but more on 1st grade level. Thank you ladies. I always feel like we need to do more because our days are so short but it's nice to know we are doing enough.Your kinder list looks like WAY enough. It would be a great 1st grade list.
I'm not familiar with CLE LA, so I can't exactly speak to that. But if it's comparable to the FLL, WWE, AAR language arts line up you have for your daughter, I'm sure its great. With math, history, and science added...looks good to me.
There are things you could add if you WANTED. A foreign language, geography, art or music appreciation, nature study. But I wouldn't add anything just because you want the day to be longer. You don't NEED to add anything.

Ok thank you! That's good to know :)

DS is 2nd grade and is doing:
CLE LA 3
BJU math 3
SOTW 2
Science right now is library books and experiments
DD is in K and is doing:
CLE math 1
First language lessons 1
Writing with ease 1
SOTW 2
Science is library books and experiments
All about reading 1
ETC 3 for phonics reinforcement/handwriting/spelling
The problem is I feel that we get done so fast. My K'er is usually done in less than an hr and my 2nd grader is done in bout 1.5 hrs. Is there anything I need to add or are they just quick workers?

I leave my 7.5 yr old every Friday for two hours while the girls have ballet. He hates going and I can trust him to sit and watch tv, read a book or play while I am gone. He has been left alone 1x a week since Aug. and he does perfectly fine with it.

Thank you! It looks like I have a lot to research. l
