We have stayed at Fort Wilderness Halloween week. The boats will run until 1 am. You can also trick or treat the campground if you want. It is my favorite week to go to disney world.

Prayers for you. I'm so glad that you've got everything lined up and that you have good docs that caught this before you couldn't walk!

My third son just graduated from public school high school. We paid $450 in fees each year. I always complained that I could have homeschooled him for that amount. Plus we paid $3000 out of our property tax each year as well. It was ridiculous.

It took me four years to figure out that mine was due to acid reflux.
What do you take for it?

Perfect! I'm using sea and sky and wanted to add geography in as well. Thanks!

I hope it doesn't take us 3 years. It gives me hope to see you on the other side.

Still using mine. It was a life saver when we were in salt lake city. The Dr needed to know my son's travel dates and instead of it being on the calendar at home, I had it all with me.

I wear a cardigan with the lands end dress. But I like the idea of wearing pants more. I know I would feel more comfortable in pants and flat shoes. I live in fear of tripping in dress shoes. Maybe a new purse and either a scarf or blingy necklace. I know either will put you in a "fashiony" state of mind. I think the job sounds great too. Good Luck!

I've never seen a Fitbit, but am interested - especially if it includes a silent alarm. Has anyone used that?
On this page (scroll down) there seems to be a Fitbit that has a digital watch face, but I can't find that product. Am I misreading the picture? I like to wear a watch, so would prefer to combine the two.

My fitbit one has a clock, but no alarms.

I have this dress and it looks great and is so comfortable. It runs small. I am usually a 14-16 and I had to return it and get a 10-12. (great for my ego)

Can I jump in and ask what kind of keyboard I could get for my 8yo? He will start lessons this Fall. We have limited space and I don't want to spend a lot or get a piano until we see how he likes it.

It all looks great. Congrats on surviving a kitchen remodel!

You didn't happen to run across any video viewing guides for US history, did you?
FYI, apparently this John Green is also the author of "The Fault in Our Stars", did not know that.
Yes he is. We met him and his brother Hank at vidcon. They are awesome!

My handwriting is like black yoga pants. It gets the job done, even when underdressed for the situation.
Such a good analogy. I think the only way french cursive is normal is if you are french and have never written any differently. I think of it as fun, like trying to write in runes. I don't think it will ever replace my handwriting style.

That is so weird. My daughter was asking me the same thing today. I think we are going to line up the topics and use a spine for what isn't covered. Which spine? I don't know yet. Maybe someone will chime in.

I also found tons of lovely free printables on pinterest! :)
This year, I cobbled together a planner from various free printables.
For 2015, I found a nice matched set this week. I like that it is secular and available in A4 and A5 sizes.
Thank you so much- I am happily printing now.

There were instructions on how to start the appeal process. I am going to call an attorney tomorrow also.

We got a letter yesterday saying that our health insurance would not be paying for our oldest sons hospital stay. 6 days in the icu. Reason- it is unclear that it was medically necessary.
I can see their point, there are so many people in the icu who don't belong there.- not. Its always something.

When we were traveling via bus and rail in Chicago this past April, we saw huge groups outside of "rush hour" times. We took the red and orange lines (and all of the accompanying connections due to construction). I've truly never been so afraid of the situation and the safety of the public transport and we used to live/travel in Chicago, Cincy, and NYC often.
That would be scary. Maybe that's why there are so many police now. They ride segways, bikes, they are on foot and driving. When we walk to the target on state st there is usually a paddy wagon parked in the middle lane as well.

Another problem that has become more common is wilding, when large numbers -- up to 400, 500 -- of (mostly) teens meet up at one spot to harass and occasionally assault and rob strangers and businesses. Michigan Avenue, Oak Street Beach and North Avenue Beach are some of the areas where these have occurred. Sometimes they've evolved into flash mob robberies. In the past they've used the Grand and Chicago Red Line train stops to get there and leave. If the police notice large mobs of rowdy kids, they now accompany them in case they start to stir up trouble.
I used to live in a condo on Michigan Avenue near Oak and still travel down there quite a bit (possibly moving back). It does seem to me that the crime has become worse but mostly in the form of wilding.
Chicago and some of the suburbs have a lot of gangs. Some are more violent than others. One gang that they used to worry about was MS-13 from El Salvador but I don't think they managed to get a foothold here.
Btw, some individuals are succeeding in brokering peace between rival gangs but that doesn't often make the news.
I take the red line from Jackson up to Chicago for dr appts at northwestern. I have never seen a large group of any people. Maybe its because I'm travelling during the week during the mid day hours.

Scary costumes aren't allowed. It is really well done and so fun. My big kids have the best memories of being there.
