  1. I don't always eat the fruit.  Sometimes I am just not hungry enough for it early in the day and when I am it is past the 2:00 cut off on fruit.

The fruit restriction is actually no fruit 8 hours before bedtime. The 2:00 cut-off would have you going to bed at 10:00. If you stay up later then you can move the fruit to later in the day. When I eat yogurt I will put berries in it to get at least one serving of fruit early. I don't always get both fruits or both probiotics in.

  2. Was down 3 pounds and then Thursday was DH's b-day. I only gained 1/2 lb so not too bad for a total cheat day. Cycle 1 is the hardest & easiest. It's hard because there are so many restrictions but it's easy because I just eat the same thing for my meals each day.

I want to add something other than our daily walk but I think I'll wait until I'm out of cycle 1.

  3. I have made it through 3 days.  Today, the hitch in my day was leaving the house at 1:30 and not getting home until 9:00 pm.  I got the kids Taco Bell but I was able to wait until I got home to get a salad.

I don't eat at Taco Bell but if you order fresco it's healthier. "you can order ANY item Fresco-style, and T. Bell will replace the cheese, creamy sauces, sour cream, and/or guacamole with pico de gallo."

  4. I'm getting ready to start Cycle 1 tomorrow. I took a break at the end of May. I didn't want to be actively dieting during the summer. I lost 21 pounds the first time through the three cycles. My shorts that were too tight are now too loose and I was able to go from XL to L in shirts. Hoping to continue with the success.

  5. My oldest daughter only shaves her arm pits. I don't bother her about her legs. She has no desire to shave her legs. My mom & sister keep insisting that she needs to shave her legs (sister waxes everything including arms) but I told them that she isn't interested and she told them the same. It's her body. I only shave my legs from the knees down once a week in the summer and not at all in the winter. I wax my pits, eyebrows, & mustache.

My 10 yo is the opposite. She can't wait to shave. She has no need right now as the hair on her legs is still barely there. She periodically asks me to check her pits for hair and so far there isn't any.

  6. I had the surgery 14 years ago. The doc did mention that I would probably need reading glasses in the future and if I actually would make an eye apt I would have said glasses. My one eye is still 20/20 but the other is a tad blurry. Recovery was immediate improvement, I couldn't see anything without glasses and as soon as the surgery was over my vision was perfect. I did have to use eyedrops post surgery for a week or so (it's been so long ago now). Follow-up apt the next day and then a week or so after. My cost was high ($4500) but it was a long time ago and at a teaching/research clinic. With contacts I used to have a hard time driving at night but after the surgery that went away. The star burst issue was mostly with the RK surgery not Lasik but that's always a possibility.

  7. I'm still waiting for the book to be back at the library. I'm number 7 in the queue. I watched some of the folding videos and redid my shirt drawer. The drawer that was difficult to close now has room for even more and I didn't get rid of anything!
