  1. I am thinking of jumping ship from VP to SOTW. Vol 3 following right where we are in our VP cards. Would this be a good fit for a 5th grader?? Also, are there any schedules already made for this volume? I understand there are lists of literature to go with each chapter and wondered if any one has broken out elementary age books? I'm really not lazy, just wondered.;)

    Thanks!

  2. I had my ds use this for this past year and he has worked through both the Computer Science Pure and Simple books. He loved it and wants to continue this fall with some more programming. I think 7th grade would be the perfect time to begin those books. My son is 14 and it was a little easy for him but still he had to hearn the steps to programming. Check the price on the software because I don't remember it costing that much...check our Rainbow Resource, I think they have it for around $50. HTH!

  3. I have a son who has been in private school and will be home this fall with his brothers. He has had 4 years of beginning Latin and it has been spotty at this school...sometimes being taught from a DVD. He did not have any Latin this past year in 7th and I feel he would benefit from another year of Latin (more than just memorzing lists of words). Do you have any suggestions for a kid who has been "out of Latin" for a year? What curriculum would you use that he could pick up with little help from me, to get back into translating? He has a little brother who is in Latina Christiana II and I'm not sure that is the kind of program he needs. Thanks for your advice!
