  1. I am looking for ideas for my three and five year olds. Thanks!
  2. We use Spell to Write and Read. It can be intimidating at first but it is a super fabulous program. I love it! We have only been using it a couple of months and I can already see big improvements!
  3. My name is Kristin and I am a homeschooler to three blessings -- Bean, 9, Sassity Frassity, 5, and Pookah, 3. We're members of a Classical Conversations community, where I am a tutor, and our current favourite homeschooling happy is lapbooks! We love lapbooks! We're relatively new to them but my kids are having a blast (we just finished up one on The Lost Colony of Roanoke and have begun one on Jamestown. My middle kiddo is finishing up one of the 5 senses and looking forward to starting one on penguins.) Their excitement for the subject has increased and so has their retention of the information. I asked my oldest to narrate the story of Roanoke after we did our unit study and made her lapbook. I wrote as she spoke and it took two pages. This is a huge breakthrough for us! :-) So, anyway -- HI everyone! Just wanted to share a bit of something that works for us as I have been reading posts and opinions from everyone else. Looking forward to the sharing of ideas!
