It's a nice resort. The poverty outside of the resort can be overwhelming.

Dr.'s nurse called back and said nothing to worry about unless there is bright red spotting or bleeding. I am feeling the baby move a lot today, so that is keeping me from stressing out. I've only been having the annoying braxton-hicks contractions and the spotting I had seems to be going away.
Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts! I appreciate them all.

Has this happened to anyone? If so, what did it turn out to be? It's like, end of your period type spotting.
Just thought I'd ask, as I am waiting to hear back from my OB.

For those of you who have kids playing sports regularly, do you try to get them to eat a certain amount of protein daily? My boys are 7 and 8 and I am thinking I should up their protein since they play baseball and basketball throughout the week.
If you upped the protein, did you see any benefits?

I would think maybe a possible hypothalmus issue causing them to not get that "full" feeling, but the likelihood of that happening with both girls at the same time would be so small. I'd still run it by the ped like others suggested.

I opened this thread just to see the tags.

Is she organized enough to start her own business? I've had some friends become wedding coordinators and are able to make $500 or so a wedding, just starting out.

CA is a neighborhood voting place kind of state. We vote at the rec room of an apartment complex about a half mile from us.
It's usually dead during voting time, but today it was busy!

It seems for us that the weekend is when all heck breaks loose around here. The weekend always ends up feeling very chaotic. There is so much to be done around the house, sports/games, social obligations, ect. DH is home so there is an added (adorable) person making a mess. As far as the sports go, I really like us to go as a family, rather then use the divide and conquer approach.
Anyone else feel like the weekend is busier then the weekdays? What do you do to prepare for the weekends to make them feel more fun and less hectic? Anyway to help organize the bigger weekend chores would also be appreciated.

I am curious about you capitalizing "Fall." Can you explain?
I was thinking a 2nd grader might captialize fall. I know it's not correct.
-
Did you enjoy your Fall break at Disneyland?
This is my guess as to what 4 corrections a 2nd grader would make.

Glad you are ok. :grouphug:

Not only warn your children of this, warn your husbands! I see some of my friends DH's post some political/social/ect stuff all the time on FB. It's just not smart, you may have an HR person in the future who can see your "likes" or even your page and disagree with you.

thanks Robin, it looks like it is going to be just about as bad off shore as here on the island, maybe the winds will be a little bit more . We are used to tidal flooding, actually our house is sloped up and is on quite high ground. When the rest of the island has flooded, our house has not. We drove our cars off shore just in case. It is starting to sound more like a nor'easter which we get all the time so hoping for the best.
What do you do with your 8 cats when there is a big storm? Are they all indoor?

I love Ronan. I am a fan of Irish last names as first names.
Rowan is a girl's name as well as a boy's name.

Do your kids help out? Maybe not your youngest, but the older should be doing their own laundry at their age, no?

Poor thing.
ETA: I thought we were talking about the little girl in NJ. She was found near her home in a recycle bin, and was killed by two young neighborhood teens.
How horrible. What is going on with these teen boys?
I thought the same thing! How bizarre both cases involve arrests of 17 year olds.

I had horrible acne and was miserable. I ended up doing Accutane and it was a miracle for me, but I had to do blood test and take birth control pills even though I was 14. It can be a wonderful option, but it CAN cause major issues in some people. Luckily, I only had dry skin.
This was the same for me when I was 15. I was made fun of for my acne and did that whole foundation cake-face trying to cover it up. Luckily Accutane worked for me.
Is there a family history of acne scarring? If so, I would get her in right away. If not, you could wait it out, but if I were in your shoes I would take her in anyway.

I'd say I'm more naturally b*tchy, or irritable. I've had similar thoughts as you OP. You are not alone.
I TRY to be nice as much as I can, but it really doesn't come naturally to me.

I took two courses during my life (one at 14 and one at 23) and haven't had any lasting effects. I only suffered from skin dryness druring treatment.
I took two courses as well. I did have depression around the time I took Accutane but not as severe as my sister who did not take it. I was so grateful for my clear skin! The cystic acne took a much bigger toll on my self esteem then the mood swings from accutane.
I am sorry for this boy though. I agree he needs to continue with the dr.s until they find something that can help him pull through the depression.

For some reason, I am a very good at running my household efficiently and keeping it clean. Some things I chalk it up to are: being in constant motion and multi-tasking - if I'm headed to the kitchen from the living room, I pick stuff up along the way, for example. Being in constant motion also eliminates my need to do formal exercise, which takes up time. My daily activity is exercise enough (plus I'm the one who parks across the parking lot at Walmart - yes, with kids in tow, or will park far away and walk to the Post Office). My days are long, my girls get up around 6am every day and I go to bed around 11:00pm every day (9pm and on, I don't do any household work) so I have a lot of time to get stuff done. I'm a volume producer, somehow I get a lot done in a sort amount of time.
I also rotate around cleaning the other rooms I don't clean daily.
But I think mainly it's just moving, moving, moving. Yes, I'm exhausted but it's a good kind of tired because everything is neat and tidy and ready to go!
I think what you wrote is key and much more important then house size, amount of stuff, or schedule. People with clean homes are constantly cleaning and/or tidying. Your Grandmother didn't have dishes in the sink because it was a priority to get up and clean rather then relax or whatever after a meal.

I would just go for the day. Honestly, an hour in the car is pretty easy. I would be hurt if I was your SIL.

My good friend is a devote Mormon and she drinks a Monster every day during the week.

People post way too much personal drama on FB and then close their account when it comes back to bite them. Save the personal stuff for real life, friends, not FB.

Thanks ladies! I am ok, still spotting a little but lots of baby boy movement and Bx contractions. I should see the dr by next week at my 32 week appt. I'm hoping for an ultrasound if possible.
