Can someone tell me how many lessons there are in the note book pages? what is the last page?
Same thing for the Shakespeare pages?
I am trying to decide if our set is complete! :)
Thanks!

You may get a few more answers on the curriculum forum :001_smile:
Thanks! I am new to posting here...mainly just do reading! :)
I just hate to see my girls starting to hate math...they are following in my footsteps and I have worked very hard to not let that happen!
-
They do seem to understand the concept and are getting the majority correct, just getting bogged down. :)

My 2 daughters (TT7 and TT Pre-algrbra) are beginning to HATE math and it's largely because of long division! They are tired of doing endless math problems that anyone in their right mind would do with a calculator in real life!:D
So...when do you allow your children to use calculators?

Okay, I am not sure I would reccomend that core. It is a really old core, Although it would still be workable.
IT IS NOT PART ONE of World history it is the very old ALT 7 now. It was one of their original cores. It probably hasn't changed much from that time. SL was going to discontinue that core but too many people liked that option of one year world history.
Does it have all the other books needed? finding books for that may be harder. ANd did you want to do World history in one year?
Yea....after doing a bunch more research and reading here and the Sonlight Forums, I decided against it.
I am going to just keep plugging away at getting the books we need. :)
Thanks again! You were very helpful! :D

AWESOME! Thanks so much! I am watching an ebay auction...and time is of the essence! lol
So...were the time line figures included in the IG or have the always been purchased seperately?
I am looking at a 2002 Core 6...the auction does not have the timeline figures. Would the current ones work?? This one uses the CHOTW (which I have) instead of the SOTW (which I don't have).
-
Do they change their IGs every year?
In the past did they use the Child's History of the World as a spine and now they use Story of the World?
Are the timeline figures something new??
Looking specifically at World History Part I, 6
Thanks for any info! :)

Beside Beautiful Feet? I would LOVE to get their maps, but I need 5 sets of them and this is just not in the budget right now.
Any suggestions?

no sleeping in here:001_huh: my kids don't care what the clocks say, they wake up when they always do...
I'll need to remember this when they are teenagers so I will be extra thankful to sleep in :)
:iagree:

So when our children say "But Tommy does it too" we excuse the behavior??
I don't think so...
People in authority and respect should be held to a higher standard than the general individual.

I keep it really simple. I dont use soap, I dont cleanse. SOmetimes I use a scrub.
When I get out of the shower, I moisturise with an organic moisturiser.
I honestly think most of what they sell for skin is completely unecessary. If I cant get moisturiser or I run out, I use a small amount of coconut oil.
I dont have skin problems, but I think "skin problems" are often the results of pasting chemicals on our faces year after year.
I must agree with this!

Another Pathways fan here...
That said, my DS is just starting 1st grade and has had no problems with the nature reader...totally depends on where a child is. :)

Woohoo! Thanks for posting this! :)

Thanks so much for sharing!
I must admit that I get side-tracked in our day to day stuff...and need to refocus. :)

Another Apologia user here...my 6th and 7th grader are using General Science this year and will move into Physical next year.

Sounds like she is writing plenty in other areas....by 4th grade, I figure that they should have the mechanics of writing down.

Help! Free Preschool/Kinder Download that was Jan only?
in K-8 Curriculum Board
Posted
Homeschoolers I need some help! Earlier in the month, I saw a link to a free preschool/kindergarten curriculum. It was an expensive one ($200, I think) that they were doing a free deal for the month of January.
I *think* it was in a blog? Now I can't find it! Anyone have any idea what I am talking about? :)
