  1. Bluegoat, I really enjoyed Cards on the Table too.

My favorites are And Then There Were None and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.

When I started reading Christie, I read all the Poirots, then all the Marples. I enjoy the mysteries, but what really sucks me in are the descriptions of post-war England.

  2. Muir Woods is beautiful, I think it's definitely worth a visit.

Also, you might like to visit the Exploratorium, the California Academy of Sciences, the de Young Museum, and the Legion of Honor.

My younger two boys (8 and 12) think Alcatraz is really interesting too. The ferry ride out there is fun too (although it can be pretty chilly in March).

    Enjoy your trip!

  3. Turn it off (or if it's already off, keep it off), remove the battery, and get it dry using one of the following methods described here (but I'd leave it for longer than the 24 hours recommended in the linked article if you can stand the wait):

Rice worked for us. Hope it works for you too! Please let us know how it goes.

(Rice also worked for my daughter's iPod nano after she accidentally ran it through the washing machine!)
