I have both the Kindle Fire (original) and the new iPad. They are miles apart. Don't know much about other tablets.
As far as wifi, do you have home Internet? If so you just buy a wireless router. If you don't have Internet at home than you will need a tablet with 3G/4G capabilities and will need to pay for monthly service from a cell phone company. It will be slower than home based Internet.

I love math manipulatives. We have tons, but the most used are the base ten set, the two sided counters, and cuisenaire rods. We also use basics like a ruler. It's handy to have card stock, a printer, and laminating machine to copy the manipulatives in the back of the HIG.

I was born and raised in LA (left when I was 26) and went through Andrew and Katrina right outside of Baton Rouge. Most people who have lived there for any length of time should know to stock up on gas and groceries before a storm enters the gulf.

I had to have IV iron for a week during my last pregnancy. I learned that vitamin C helps absorption and calcium hurts it. Don't drink milk or take Tums within two hours of taking iron. I will say that I had tons more energy after those treatments.

I've been following this since last night. So glad things are being taken seriously by everyone involved.

They have two great Singapore math classes.
One caveat-ed2go is offered through colleges-and fees are set by them. The same class that was $94 from my local CC was $198 from the local state university-so comparison shop!
I've taken the Singapore classes and really learned a lot. I think I paid $99.

Well, turns out he's just the kinda guy you want your daughter to bring home.
I have to say, with all the medal chewing going on (retainers or not), I'd sure be a lot more envious if I knew there was a hunk of chocolate inside that gold wrapper.
The video at the end was priceless. "In one ear and through the other." Yep!:lol::lol:

I regretted having my tubes tied for a while, but I think I moved beyond it when my youngest (2.5) potty trained. Something about not having a "baby" in the house and things getting physically easier (no waking at night, no poopy diapers, not having to keep them in my sight EVERY SECOND) made it easier to see the upside of being done.
Thinking about a Dyson canister vac....any recommendations?

I have a Dyson canister vac and love it. Not sure what model but the "cyclone" part is blue. I never knew how much dirt was in my carpet until I used that vacuum.:001_huh:
