Please don't hold me to this, but the current plan is to charge $39.95 for registration--this covers you AND your spouse and any older children who are going to attend the workshops.
The hotel is normally $209 per night, but the conference rate is $129.
We'll let you know about any additional discounts shortly.

Sweet!!! I'm from the area and that cost of the hotel would so be worth it.
(Even though I know it is tentative ;))

I had braces from the time I was 9 to the time I was 13. I was advised, lectured, warned to wear my retainer every day with no end date. I stopped when I got to college and sure enough the top shifted (not drastically), enough that I needed a new retainer. I also have a bottom row retained that is cemented on to the teeth.

I eat with purpose. Everytime I go to the fridge and pantry I ask myself why am I going to the get something to eat? What am I going to eat? And will it nourish me.

We are using 2 sets of Sharpies we bought from Sam's club and a local craft store. The Sam's club pack came with 30 markers and the other pack came with colors the 30 did not have.

We have a 15 minute block of our day that we use for critical thinking/mind game challenges. Over time I am going to slowly expand it to 30 minutes to focus on Logic and Critical thinking skills.

Woot! Right next door to me. :D

(Yeah, I spent two hours last night perusing the books. )

Don't blush. In between declutter the house and caring for a sick toddler, I was slowly incorporating the book into my lesson planner program.

I have found big rolls at Wal-Mart, Target, Micheal's, and teacher and parent supply stores.

Thanks for calling.
I have an office depot, it offers the option to upload the file and set it up for pick up, it will cost me about $16 with binding, double sided, and a front and back cover.
I'll be nerdy with you. I'm very happy. :D

Thanks for that second link to the Advanced Language Lessons.
Does anyone know, can you bring the file to be printed and binded without any hassle?

I think I like this version better than the Serl version.

I would probably get something from a ___ of the month club. Like a cake or maybe flowers.
My dh's grandmother has dementia and when we by gifts, we keep it to something she can have to eat or look at (one year we bought her a table book).

I have used this recipe for the last 4 years without fail. I slip some garlic in there and yum yum.

I was told by the post master that they were not allowed to accept cash gifts, but were allowed gifts such as mittens, cookies, and other non-monetary items.
This year I'm not going to be giving anything. We have a rotating route so we rarely get the same regular mail person.

Here's an easy meatball recipe I take to functions all the time:
2 lb. bag frozen meatballs (about 40)
2 (12 oz.) jars chili sauce
1 to 1 1/2 cups grape jelly (use less if you like a "kick"; more if you like it sweet)
Whisk together chili sauce & jelly. Stir in frozen meatballs. Put in Crock Pot 6 hours on Low; 3 to 4 on High. Super easy and they always disappear!
If you do not have grape jelly, a great alternative is cranberry sauce which is found this time of year. :)

Sometimes. Scratch that I get more disgusted by the parents more than I do with the kids. I had to unsubscribe from my local homeschool yahoo groups due to the number of posts from parents that smacked of superiority, arrogance and close mindedness. I like to think that both public and homeschooling have their merits but to hear some of the parents on the board speak, its homeschooling or your part of the evil "educrat machine". I always feel sad for the new people who join and see these types of posts since I have heard they are a big big turn off. Luckily, I know not all homeschoolers are like that so I have hope. :)
As for the kids, my son is still young (8), and I don't know what the future holds. I would like to think that if he or I ever choose to go back to public schooling it is what is best for him.

I get ganglion cysts quite frequently on my right wrist. Sometimes they just go away on there own. If it is very large and causing you pain you can go to your doctor and s/he might send you over to a surgeon for removal.
If it will give you some peace go to your doctor.

I was gifted with a PDA for my birthday and I would like to add some software but I am at a lost for places I should look. I found one for library books.

ANy help would be appreciated.

Something to read
Something to wear
Something to play with
Something to share
That's how we pick out gifts for the kids. :D
We do something similiar:
Something they want (something of the list)
Something they need (something we think he would benefit)
something to read (obvious)
I may need to add in the something to share.

4 years ago turkeys were 0.19/lb at the store. I ended up buying a 22lb bird for 3 people. :D I think this is the first year I have bought the right size for the 4 of us, and truthfully I am at a lost of how to deal with such a small bird.

Here is Nava's website:
http://vegkitchen.com/kid-friendly-recipes/noodles.htm#vegetable
Due to copyright issues I don't believe I can post the recipe as it is in the book. I will say that the difference between what she has posted on her website and the book recipe is that the book includes 1.5 cups of mushrooms (brown or white) as an alternative if you do not want to use the baby corn.
Hope that helps.
