  1. I have this same question. Does anyone have experience with HSLDA Academy's APUSH (AP U.S. History) class, in particular? A cheaper option for me would be Texas Tech Online (TTU K-12). However, they are not as transparent about reading material and course content and approach.
  2. The Explode the Code workbooks are fabulous. For your rising 4th grader, you might try Wordly Wise. Also, Horizons Math worksheets are a good supplement for reinforcement, as building a good math foundation necessarily requires repetition. IXL.com, though not a workbook, might meet your needs, as it gives feedback on answers and keeps a record of work completed. It provides good review for both math and grammar. Check the Homeschoolbuyers Co-op website for reduced pricing.
  3. My son loved Mister Popper's Penguins! He also loved the following similarly zany stories: - My Father's Dragon - Doctor Doolittle - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - Mrs. Piggle Wiggle
  4. Being art challenged, I've been eying this program for a while. The discount helped me commit. I locked in at 30 % discount and am hopeful that we will reach the 40% benchmark! Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
  5. You're the second strong recommendation I've heard. Time to check it out! Thanks!
  6. Monica, I have SRW, but I am not prepared enough to begin implementation. You mentioned watching a video in your prep. Is there one in particular you can recommend? Thanks so much! Cheryl
