  2. We purchased only the teachers manual for 40 usd this year. We used it with our 4th and 1st grader. We found it easy to use and she also added video links for many of the projects in the manual. She just redid the the manual and it has a great supply list so I have not found buying the supplies on my own difficult. I almost bought the online version of the program with includes all of the videos and the lectures with the manual but thought for now this was enough info, easy enough to use, and affordable.

    Blessings on your decisions.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

  3. Did your 7 and 4 years olds enjoy these also, or was it more geared toward your 10 year old?

My 7 year old was 5 and 6 when we used them and he did not do the writing projects, but he was able to do the rest of the hands on projects and enjoyed them all. He is a hands on type of guy, but even my 8 yr old (then) who is not a hands on guy loved them and enjoyed the pretend newspaper projects.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Have you read the "gift of dyslexia'. Our library had it and I am beginning a process of starting their program. Even if you do not have a dyslexia child, you have visual learner and they have a great program. It uses clay and also just helps you understand how they see things and why it is so easy to get frustrated on their progress. Their website is dyslexia.com and it is called the Davis program just incase you wanted another option.

    Blessings.

  5. Our boys love doing SOTW together. Basically my now 6 year old has been listening, coloring and doing projects since he was 4 and has loved every minute. It has given him a love for History before he was old enough to be in school and helped him and his brother (now 9) bond even more. They play revolutionary war together, colonial day and still talk about Ancient Egypt and can't wait to study it again.

    Blessings on your decision.

  6. We used miquon for both my sons. Though they both learn very different they were both challenged by it in different ways. The thing I like best is that it teaches children that math is not boring problems that have to be done in a set way. My oldest still today comes up with lots of different ways that sometimes blows me away, to add large numbers because of Miquon. They are introduced to multiplication in the first book which we use for K and they have no idea that most kids are not even introduced this until 3rd grade. Although my first was not a visual learner, he was force to begin his math experience in a visual way which still helps him today. My second son is a visual learner and now rarely uses the rods because he can see the solution(the rods added together) in his head. My oldest used book one and two and I may use more books for my second son.

    Blessings.

  7. We did not use the TM and we are on Book E now. The difference is the older one is more of a space theme I think and the newer is sports themes? My son prefers the space theme ones, but we love the program.

    Blessings
