  1. Your dd is in 9th grade, right? And she is still phrasing things oddly? I would get her tested, so that you understand the nature of her learning differences and can use that understanding to maximize the effectiveness of her lessons. I would take a long hard look at where she is aiming to be after high school. If she is looking at college, then having her disabilities documented will help her to get the accommodations she may need to succeed in college classes. Also, it would be wise to look at the requirements of several potential colleges and make sure that you have a plan to meet their admission requirements. That will help you to decide what you need to finish and what you can drop, and how you need to pace things. You should have a basic plan as to what you will teach each year of high school, even if you end up modifying it down the line. If she is not college-bound, then I would start asking, for everything you are teaching, "will this be important in her future"? The answer to that question will help you decide what needs to be finished, whether you need to work in the summer, what subjects you will study and what approach you will take with them.
