  1. Just wondering what History to do what year? We are doing World Geography now..she's in 9th grade. Also, where would Art Appreciation/ History fall under? This is our second year to homeschool and I'm stressing to make sure she gets in all in...since she's in high school. Thanks for your help! Michelle
  2. I meant to add...will adding R&S English be too much with the above? Thanks!
  3. I'm trying to come up with my ds La for next year...also, would you mind sharing what you will be using and how many days per wk. So far I have come up with... CLE reading ( he's done great with this., so we'll keep it..daily) Wordly Wise ( how often? ) Writing...( he really struggles with this..so I have found a workbook that covers the very basics and how to's....just not sure how often he should do a lesson? ) Grammar ( ? not sure...any ideas? ) Thanks for your ideas!
  4. This was my first year to homeschool and it was not as organized as I would have liked...most days were fly by the seat of my pants! I have printed off quite a few of Donna Young's forms...but I'm trying to get other's opinions on what your "planner looks like" and what works best for you, and what you have in it. I will have 2 dc next year...one is 14..and the other is 13. I plan to have them each use a planner a well...My 14 year old will be taking quite a few classes at the co-op...so I guess she can just transfer info from her syllabus onto her planner, along with what we have going on at home the other days, right?...It's mine, that I have no idea how or what to put in it to make it work. I know I am a paper girl for sure...and thinking a binder with maybe labeled tabs? Do I make sections for each child? or tabs with extra forms? So say I print off a weekly schedule for each of them....then they just cross it off as they go? or put what the sheet says in the planner? I know this sounds ridiclious...I just really don't know what I'm doing and how to get a system in place! and need help from you that do! I'm really looking for a homeschool only planner type system...not household. Thank you so much! Michelle
  5. We had the same issue with my ds not grasping TT7...we recently switched to LOF........and he gets it! No more complaining about Math! My dd just started with LOF after Saxon...and it's been a success too!
  6. Oh my gosh! I don't know how my post got listed twice....thanks Brindee! Thanks too for your thoughts for next year!
  7. I'm trying to get next year figured out and thought I'd run this by all the veterans! Is it too much? Am I missing something? How often would you schedule each? This is what I have so far for my 9th grader: Math--LOF English--CLE Writing--?? I really want to put a heavy focus on it next year...any suggestions? Bible Study--Queen , or maybe summit..with daily devotion Spanish-Rosetta Stone Keyboarding- is this all year or 1 semester? Logic-The Fallacy Detective ( 1 lesson a week?) Science-Apologia Biology @ CO OP World Geography @ CO OP Yearbook or Art @ CO OP Nutrition @ CO OP PE wants to take piano Whew! I'm exhausted just looking at it! How would you fit this all in or what would you combine or take away? I really appreciate you taking the time to look over this with me! Any ideas or suggestions are welcome! Blessings, Michelle

  10. This is my first year to homeschool and will have a 8th and 9th grader next year. I'm trying to put together next year's schedule and was wondering if you could give me any recommendations for Logic and Keyboarding? Is Logic a full year? What about Keyboarding? Any specifics on what you're using would be terrific. Thanks!
