I homeschooled my three children many years ago following the WTM approach. They have since graduated University, obtained their Construction/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree. They're all working in their field and are very successful! I still have all their school essays and short stories that I would like to give them as a gift. However, I am lost at how to go about it. Has anyone done something special to archive or put their children's hard work throughout the years in a book or other ideas will be very helpful! Thank you in advance!

I've tried looking through the site to find out the rules when it comes to posting or advertisement in the WTM community. Can someone kindly guide me there. Thanks! Judy

No more Spanish curriculum!

sigh....feel better :) My son is 15 and only knows basic spanish yet he is willing to learn. Unfortunately, his older brother works in another state so he would be the only one speaking to him in Spanish. Pretty much I would be the one speaking to him but I'm running out of ideas. Hope that helps and thank you! -
I've been struggling in teaching my children to speak Spanish even though I speak it. I've bought every curriculum you could think of yet my oldest never spoke Spanish until he stepped out to the real world and immerse himself with the language. I'm tire of buying curriculums that don't work! I would like to do conversational spanish instead but not sure where to start. Has anyone tried this method? - need ideas. Thank you!

Thank you!! -
This is my son's first completed college semester and he finished with a 4.0 GPA. He already signed up for the second semester but we never applied for any scholarships. Where can we start looking for scholarship money and where can I find samples or a guide to help write a letter as to why we need the money? Thanks you! Judy

Thank you ladies, especially for the websites! Judy:001_smile: -
My son is writing a four page essay and used 1 quote from a book. My first question is, should he use a footnote or work cited in the last page of his essay? My 2nd question, if he decides to use a footnote does he need to put it on "all four pages" or just the last page? Hope it makes sense.. thank you! Judy

Ladies, I'm in need of some advice. My son, who will be graduating in May 2011, took the ACT for the first time and does not care to retake the test again. He hates tests that's why we waited until the last minute. This is his ACT test breakdown: English 24, Math 22, Reading 21 and Science 20, a total composite score of 22. He plans to attend a community college - should I encourage him to retake the ACT? Another question....how important is the ACT score when he's planning to attend CC? Thanks! Judy

My husband signed a lease in San Antonio, TX for our family to move-in June 15th. On June 3rd my husband notified the Real Estate Management CO. and the owner (verbally) that we will not be occupying the home because the job in SA did not go through and he needed to return back home to Georgia. Two days later the owner cashed a $3,000 + $200 dog deposit and we have not been able to get any respond from neither the Agent nor the owner. Can my husband break the lease since we have not moved in the home – we are not asking for the deposits since I'm sure they will probably loose money by taking their home off the market. What can we do in this circumstance? Thanks and I apologize in advance if this post is inappropriate. Judy
