  1. My son doesn't even know he is doing it, and we don't draw attention to it, so no wonder she was confused, poor thing! This is not a stutter - it's called word final disfluency.
  2. Hi, my 16 year-old son has been doing this since he was tiny, and I just want to reassure you that he has improved, so hopefully your little one will as well, as time goes on. He is ultra intelligent, and I feel that sometimes his brain just has to catch up with what he wants to say, and certainly he doesn't do it as much now as when he was very small. He's quite an eccentric boy, likes his own company, wasn't very sociable really until the last year really, and I would say has very, very slight autistic tendancies, but has never been tested as he is coping and excelling at school, and is happy and healthy. Look up "final word disfluency" as this is what this speech pattern is called. Best wishes.
