  1. We are using 7/6 this year, and to break things up I have my son do his facts sheets in the morning. Then we do LA and reading. After lunch we do his math lesson and complete the warm-up orally when his lesson is complete. I hope you find a way to make it work for your son. It really is a great program. Also, we do his practice problems together on the board. ETA: We also use the mixed review answer sheet. So basically the only writing he has is one worksheet front and back, other than his facts, which by the time we do his lesson is no longer on his radar. This may not work for you, but really helps for us. It just seems to keep it from feeling so overwhelming.
  2. MMS and Zoo keeper, thank you both very much. I was also able to locate the table of contents for the 2nd edition textbook. After comparing each edition I have decided to go with the 3rd or 4th edition.
  3. Thanks for checking. I have read Art Reed’s blog; lots of good info. I am just being picky. I like the layout of the first and second editions better than the newer ones. Looks like I will just have to use the third or fourth though. Thanks for your help.
  4. Thank you for your response. This is the isbn for the textbook 978-093979874. I don’t have an isbn for the answer key and test booklet.
  5. I’m planning to use Saxon 7/6 this coming school year. I would really like to use the 2nd edition that was written by John Saxon. I have located the textbook, but can’t find the answer key and tests. I’ve searched amazon, abe books, Powell’s, eBay and Follett. Does anyone know if the 3rd edition solutions manual closely match the 2nd edition text? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  6. Long time lurker, first time poster. Sorry if this has already been posted in the past. I just came across it this week. I see a lot of members are already planning for the next school year, so I thought this link maybe useful for some. https://www.harcourtschool.com/teacher_resources/math04_ancillaries/ Grades K - 6 Reteach, Practice, Challenge and Problem Solving workbooks. All Have the answer keys attached. The Reteach pages could be used for the teaching of the concepts. I have been using BJU math for my 5th grader, but I am seriously thinking about using this for next year.
