  1. Have you considered going to Victoria's Secret and getting sized/styled? They have a nice selection and have a lot on line too. If you get on their email list, they have sales constantly online.

Yes, as a matter of fact I am wearing a bra I just purchased from VS about two weeks ago and I am not satisfied with the support at all. They said I was a 36dd so that is what I bought and the back band slips up all day. A 34dd was to small in the cup with VS. I think the thin straps are the biggest problem. My back hurts alot and my MIL thinks it is from lack of support in the straps.

  2. Well you can find Sonlight cheaply on the swap boards. It won't have all the hands on stuff that AWOA has. There is also Winter Promise, but it is expensive too. There is My Father's World and there is a new program called Path to Exploration. The ages for that starts at 3rd grade, but I'm sur eyou can tweak it like you would foor AWOA. Also there is Galloping the Globe. I think the Path to Exploration is more similar to AWOA out of all those. http://www.geomatters.com/products/category.asp?CID=53

I am looking for something with a little moe Christian perspective. I have looked at Path to Exploration and it would be perfect if it was from a biblical standpoint. So far MFW seems to be good.

  3. What subjects do you want planned out? What time period in history? What type of science? What other subjects do you want included? Do you want something with everything or would something good for each subject work? etc...

I would like to have as many planned out as I can. With AWOA everything except math and any extras like typing, free reading, foreign language all are scheduled in. The time period is another problem. With AWOA they cover from the beginning of time through the exploration period. I should say we are also using MOH1 right now to beef up the history of course that will only take us through the birth of Christ. I have also wondered where to go next year. The science goes along with the lessons not sure what type you would call it. For example the first unit is on Ancient Egypt so in science they are learning about deserts and the climates and plant and animal life in the desert.

  4. How? I truly want to trust in His provision, protection, and care during any crisis, but I also feel an urgency to be prepared. Aren't these compatible, possibly? Perhaps it's His voice, telling me to get ready, even in the middle of these busy days I have with the girls, there's this steady drumbeat.... Get ready, get ready, get ready, get ready.... I have heard this ALL DAY today.

So, I think there is a reason.

Read your bible and get the comfort the Lord intends for us to have. Ask the Lord what it is He is wanting from you and be prepared for His answer. Rejoice that the Lord is speaking to you. It would be a much scarier thing for those who never know Him or hear Him.

  5. I could have written your post myself. Seriously the part about step kids and all. Keep praying for God to reveal himself to you and for Him to get all the glory in whatever happens and you will get what He wants you to have. Adoption is a wonderful thing especially when you think of all the children without families. I wish we had the finances to adopt but I guess that is not God's plan right now. Here is wishing you the best and putting you on our prayer list!
