...to not try to be friends with someone anymore? In this case I am referring to my sister. We are just too different. Sometimes I think we can be friends, but as soon as I feel like we are getting along well, she starts acting squirrelly again. It doesn't help that her husband does not like me or my daughter and doesn't even know how to be civil about it.

Having worked with toddlers for over 10 years, I have seen just as many boys train early and just as many girls train late. It just depends on the child. My own daughter was very articulate and didn't train until she was almost 3 1/2 before she was trained.
As far as not being able to talk first, one boy who trained at 20 months would jump up and down and point at the bathroom when he needed to go.

My niece trained herself at this age. It sounds to me like your daughter is ready. I'd give it a shot of I were you.

I don't even have parasites (that I know of). What are symptoms of parasites anyway?

The food kind...a neighbor gave me some...said to mix 1 tsp in a glass of water each day and drink it. Does anyone have any experience with this? I couldn't find much information about it online.

As far as there supposedly being no public transportation there, Nikki takes sunrail to work. There is also an extensive bus system there. I checked into it. I don't know why someone feels like lying to me is going to be helpful.

I'm not the only one making this decision. Nikki who already lives there is going to make the final decision. People keep acting like it is optional for us to go elsewhere. We are going to Florida. A lot of the responses aren't even addressing my original post.

I looked, and for the dates I put in it started at $100 per night for a one-bed room. That's $3,000 for a month. Is that in your budget?
According to booking.com, it is $439.65 per week. The rates are different for a week vs a night.

"Pick a different state" ... Basically it seems to me that you all think I'm stupid or something. And I do still have the option of coming back to Colorado if need be. I think it is how some phrased things.

I have never disliked children. I don't dislike them today, but I do dislike the fact that a lot of parents refuse to discipline their children now and think their child screaming full volume in a store is normal and acceptable.

Be forewarned that Orlando has *almost* zip zilch zero in the way public workforce transportation. I hope your daughter's friend has a car they can use to get to work.
Nikki uses public transportation all the time.

Luanne, I don't have any info for you about moving to Florida, but I wanted to wish you and your dd the very best of luck -- I think it is incredibly brave of both of you to make such a big change, and I am so excited for you!!! :hurray:

I've been living with my mother. The only furniture I have is a bed, nightstand, and desk. My daughter has no furniture. We have no household things such as kitchen stuff at all.

The only medicine I am on that is really important is Exemestane.
I don't plan on driving when I'm there.
What kind of professional licences are you taking about?

Since I've never actually been there, I don' t know what to expect. I don't know exactly where the girls place of work is either. I've asked Nikki, but don't know what she said.

Many apartments do 3 month leases now. I would look into that.
The only problem with that is we have no furniture or even cooking utensils.

We found a place called Celebration Suites at Old Town in Orlando. It looks pretty good. It has a full kitchen in it.

Luanne, how is your health? Have you got a plan for medical needs lined up, or are you at a fully recovered status?
I just had carpal tunnel surgery and hopefully that will be it for the major issues. I will be applying for Medicaid when I get down there.

Grapes are indeed a major choking hazard for toddlers. If it hasn't happened to any of your children, that's great, but it only takes one time. Popcorn, nuts, and hotdogs are also a choking hazard.
