Anyone experienced with an internship in France or Francophone country?

dd is supposed to do an internship in a Francophone country; unfortunately, she's not getting a lot of help from internship director. She's doing a lot of research but it's overwhelming with no guidance. 

 

Anybody have good or bad experiences to share? Programs to embrace or abroad? It seems like she's looking at paying a small fortune for the pleasure of working if we don't figure something out. 

 

I do think some of her Canadian applications might shake out for next year, but I don't want to rely on that.
