mom31257
Ds is finishing up CLE 600. I had planned on doing 700 before going to Algebra. I was going through some books here and realized I have the PH Course 3 from 1999. I have the student edition, teacher edition, and a practice workbook. I am considering giving this book a try for his pre-algebra course. It looks interesting and would be a good trial run for switching to textbooks. Any reviews of the book or thoughts on why I should or shouldn't use it instead of ordering the 700 series?
Gil
If you have the book on hand and like the looks of it, then go for it.
mom31257
I do like the looks of it, so I think I'll give it a try. Ds might not like it compared to CLE, but I think he will enjoy the change of pace. I was hoping someone might have actually used it and would comment on any cons they found. Because CLE is workbooks, ds isn't used to writing all the problems out. I'm thinking of using the practice workbook for the lessons and have him write out the mixed review, quizzes, and tests. Don't be like me, don't over complicate things for yourself. You should at least take an earnest crack at PHCourse 3 and see how it works for you.
