Guest JasmineC
Has anyone used TT Pre-calc and then had their student take the Pre-calc CLEP? Do you think this would be okay or should I supplement with Khan Academy? Thanks :)
Mom22ns
I have asked this question here and on a CLEP yahoo group and no one has ever answered.
Guest JasmineC
Darn! I found an old thread but like you said, there really was no answer. I think I may be leaning more towards Aleks Precalculus anyway. I've heard it prepares the student for the CLEP really well.
mathmarm
Not familiar with TT precalculus but I do know that there are CLEP study manuals that are sold. I'd take a look at the CLEP manual and the scope and sequence of TT PreCalculus and see what, if anything, is not covered by TT that might be on the exam. Thanks! EDIT: For those who are wondering, it seems like TT Precalc covers the majority of information on the CLEP test.

They don't off an online version of trig or pre-calc, but her intended college accepts the CLEP. I had wondered if she could do something for the trig portion of Pre-Calc and then take the CLEP. Maybe ALEKs would be a good option.

It's actually been called too thorough! http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/10912-passed-precalculus-clep.html#post80419
