Halcyon
My 7th grader is very interested in learning more about Gitmo. He has interest in becoming an investigative journalist and has read Unbroken and other war memoirs and understands the politics (to the extent he can at his age) around Gitmo but wants to learn more. Can someone recommend books for this age group? He likes audio books so if it is a more advanced book he can listen to it. I am considering Guantanamo Diary, but have not read it so not sure it is okay for his age. Thank you for any resources you might know of. EmmaNZ
You might look at Enemy Combatant by Moazzam Begg. I read it as an adult so not sure about its suitability for a 7th grader though.
