kahlanne
I have decided to use Apologia for science this year for my children, age 11, 6, and 4. My 11 year old struggles with writing and reading. Would it be best to purchase the regular notebook journal for all or purchase both the regular and junior version. I expect to get "creative" with my 4 yr old who wants to "school" the same as his siblings. Will the regular be too advanced for an 11 yr old that is "behind"? Would you suggest using the junior for all if that is the case? PS. I have tried lapbooks many times and failed miserably. My kids liked but never loved them and they always took too much time. Not for us. Hopefully notebook journaling will work better.
kahlanne
Nevermind, I decided to order both and see which I prefer.
jessj
I was going to say I think you could go either way. I've used both. The Jr has coloring pages and simpler activities than the regular one. Either way, I've found that there is a lot to do if you do the whole thing.
