TheApprentice
After reviewing EIL level I, there seems to be a lot of writing. If I combine that with MCT's Magic Lens I, would that be too much writing for my 8th grade ds? He'll also be doing Oak Meadow's World History, Civics, and Physical Science, which I know all require a lot of writing? Any suggestions?:bigear: TIA, Catherine
scrapbabe
I'm not familiar with EIL. What is it?
Caitilin
EIL= Excellence in Literature I have been thinking about this question. I am using EIL to teach American lit in a co-op class, and while I really, really appreciate that there is so much writing assigned, I don't necessarily think too much of the essay prompts. I am not yet using the ML/AAW levels of MCT at home, so I don't know what types of assignments are given in it, but I am going to say, combine the programs. Use the EIL for the reading/research aspects, and try to use the MCT assignments in the context of what has been read for EIL. I think that's what I will be doing with my dds in the next few years... :D
