AngieW in Texas
I'm looking for feedback about online AP Psychology courses. My dd did Philosophy of Mind last spring and loved it, but really missed having somebody to discuss it with who was just as interested in the topic as she was. I thought an online class might help fill that void. The problem is that the class needs to be secular or have very minimal religious content and that's hard to find when it comes to hs classes. Any suggestions?
LynnG in Arizona
We were pleased with my daughter's AP Psychology class that she took through Pennsylvania Homeschoolers last year. I believe there are two teachers; hers was Mrs. Gonzales. The class is reasonably rigorous, but not as much so as the AP US History she took last year. My estimate would be 5-8 hours per week, maybe? DD just got her AP scores back last week and did really well. Mrs. Gonzales definitely prepared her well! HTH! :)

LynnG in Arizona
Was there much religious content in the class? I just asked my daughter, and she said it was completely secular. I monitored the textbook and teacher e-mails, and I thought everything was pretty religiously neutral. Not hostile to religion in any way, but not religious per se. HTH! :)
