TXMary2
What would you suggest for a 9th grader who has never done a logic course? What should we start with?
Sumiller
My ds16 did Introductory Logic for 9th grade and then I switched him over to Traditional Logic I & II this year (10th). He really prefered Traditional Logic. We didn't do any of the logic books for younger kids so this was his first exposure and he did just fine.:) With my younger son, I'm just going to start him in Trad. Logic when the time is right. FloridaLisa
We also prefer the Traditional Logic series to the Nance/Wilson series. You can start in 9th with no prior logic prereqs. In fact, the author of Traditional Logic recommends starting formal logic before fallacies. Lisa
Gratia271
Agree with pp. Traditional Logic worked well for us, and I would recommend it.
