Rhonda in TX
They use Winston Churchill's Birth of Britain as a spine. Look here. HEO starts in Year 7.
Karenciavo
TOG is Western Civ, Western Civ is relatively heavy on French and English history. World History does not cover France and England to the extent a Western Civ course does. The history of England and France begin to be covered in TOG Year 1 as the Romans come in contact with the tribes living in those areas and it continues throughout all the year plans. Two books I've enjoyed about Great Britain and France if you want to go in depth are A History of the English Speaking Peoples by Winston Churchill (4 volumes) and A History of France by John J. Anderson © 1891 (out of print, but could probably be found on Bookfinder.com.)
