RoughCollie
I bought a huge package of pork chops the other day. I stupidly told the kids to put them in the freezer, instead of repackaging them. Do cooked, frozen, and reheated pork chops taste good? Thanks, RC
snickelfritz
When I tried bulk cooking with pork chops, they came out very tough and we ended up throwing them out. I used some sort of a breaded pork chop recipe ( think shake and bake from scratch). Maybe a moister recipe, (maybe something like sweet and sour pork???) would work better. RoughCollie
Thank you for telling me about that. It sounds like the pork chops need to be frozen suspended in a gravy or sauce. I'll try sweet & sour pork. I've never made it before, so that should be fun and satisfy DD's desire for me to try new recipes.
Renthead Mommy
I agree. I don't know if they need a sauce, but they come out fine if in a sauce. I used to do a lot of cook ahead freezer meals. I never pre made shake and bake pork chops, so don't know about that, but made a number of pork chops in a sauce type things. Those always worked out great.
