Chris in PA
I have two dds ages 14 and 17. Can anyone recommend a good Bible study or devotional for this age group. I would like something they could use during their daily quiet time. Thanks
FloridaLisa
I would highly recommend the Kay Arthur Precept studies. I've done many Bible studies, but I love that this study stems from the Bible, the well-thought out questions and reading schedule and the Holy Spirit. It would be great if you could meet together once a week to share what the Lord taught each of you through the study. It would require about 30 - 45 minutes a day, which is more than some spend on quiet time. But, then, 14- and 17-yo are generally ready for the meat. I tend not to like the 10-minute quiet times, but my kids have used the Word of Life materials when our church had it for youth group. Angel
My 14yo dd did "Lies Young Women Believe" with her small group at church last year. She really enjoyed it, and it was a great opportunity for her to take a close look at things in her life. Of course, with any devotional book, there will be a few points that I don't always agree with. I flipped through it before giving it to her and then told her we would discuss the couple of things when she got there :)
MamaT
My 12yo dd will be doing the Rebecca Powell studies Wise Up and Get Real. You can find information about them on the author's blog www.rebeccapowell.com. The first one is based on the book of Proverbs and the second one on the book of Ruth. HTH, Lisa I have been eyeing the Kay Arthur studies for a week not only for my daughter but also for myself. :D Is there any that you can recommend? Also, do you think the Inductive Study Bible is to much for a young teen?
