PineFarmMom
I've not asked that question on WTM boards in years, but this is our first year of high school, so... ;) Math: TT Algebra 2 (and maybe LOF...not sure) OR TT Geometry Science: Apologia Biology with Lab Lit, writing, history & Bible: MFW Ancients high school program Foreign Language: Rosetta Stone Spanish and probably Henle Latin Logic: Finish Fallacy Detective/Thinking Toolbox set and maybe do Intro to Logic Music: Piano and composer study Art: When we get to it, God and the History of Art Speech and Debate club 4-H Volunteer work once per week Is it a lot to try to do logic, Spanish and Latin in one year along with our outside activities? Also, would it be better to do TT Algebra 2 or TT Geometry for 9th grade? I blindly purchased TT Geometry used and found out later that the authors may recommend Alg 2 first. WWYD? Thanks for any input!
Veronica in VA
It looks good. Are you planning on PE though? Also, you might want to add a grammar workbook with the Rosetta Stone. RS is a great way to learn conversational spanish, but at least the older editions were rather weak on grammar. We did Algebra I, II, and then geometry with my dd. With my son we did Algebra I, geometry, and then he did the rest at public school. I don't know if it matters too much, but one of my friends, who is an engineer turned math teacher, said it works better to do Algebra I, II, and then geometry because a)child doesn't forget Algebra I b)geometry is a good lead in into trig. Other more mathy moms might have better ideas and reasoning. Veronica

I'm still in a quandry over that. If she does, then we won't do Speech and Debate. Are you meaning just a regular grammar workbook or something you can order with RS? We're doing the new RS program. I haven't received it yet.
Storm Bay
Are you doing the Rosetta Stone for credit? If so, you may wish to add some grammar or other component to it. I think you'd need to order something separate. There was a workbook with our older edition Rosetta Stone German but we ordered a homeschool version. Still, it doesn't include grammar. It does reinforce what you learn, however.
