Gamom3
I have been sick for about 5 wks now. I went to the Dr., Wednesday will be 2 wks ago. They gave me Biaxin for 10 days, which I finished on Friday. I called today, because I have not gotten any better. They called in a prescription for Levaquin 500mg--1 pill a day. The side affects say, "May cause dizziness or lightheadedness" in capital bold print. Tomorrow we have an educational day at the zoo. I have already paid for(a month ago) and I really don't want my kids to miss it. I was wondering if I take a pill now, would you think most of the affects if any would have subsided by 12pm tomorrow??? I am tempted to wait until tomorrow to start the medicine. What do you think???
AnnetteB
You have my sympathy! I always feel rotten taking antibiotics, so I would wait until after the field trip to start. Then I would follow all the directions regarding lots of water, take with food, take all medicine, etc. Good Luck!
Kathy in MD
Do medicines that carry the "dizziness" label normal affect you? If so, I'd definately wait till after the trip. But I've found that "dizzy" medicines rarely affect me, even Leviquin. Personally, I'd do it because of how I typically react. BTW, remember to eat yoghurt or take probiotic tablets while taking antibiotics to replace the good bacteria in your digestive system. Harrison_B
I would wait until after your trip, unless you're running a fever. I was taking Avelox (I'm allergic to everything else) last year, and I ended up with a headaches and dizziness that lasted for two long weeks. Enjoy your trip!
