Kim in Appalachia
My dd11, attended a Master's class today. While there the teacher noticed that she could move up to a full size violin (my dd is 5'6"). We had agreed that when she reached full size we would buy a good violin (since the full size keep their value). My dd's teacher, along with the teacher of the class went with my dd to the shop to "find" the violin. I'm not even there! I'm 4 hours away. She gets to do this all alone. My dd is walking on cloud nine right now! My dh about fell over when I told him about how much it would cost. After discussing it with the teacher we agreed on an approximate price. I so wish I could be there! My dd won't even be home until tomorrow. I had to share. I know there are other aspiring violinists and actual violinists on this board, so I know you can appreciate how my dd is feeling right now. elise1mds
Congrats for your DD! I bet she is thrilled to death. I remember getting my first new flute and all the excitement that went with it. I hope she has a lot of fun with her new violin!
Kim in Appalachia
I just got to talk to her. She loves her new violin. I can't wait to hear about the whole process. She said it took over 2 hours to pick it out. She also got to hold the instructor's Stradivarius!
